Chogogo dive and beach resort
Samuel V on Mar 06, 2026
We had an amazing stay at Chogogo Dive and Beach Resort in Bonaire. The staff were very friendly, the place was peaceful, and the cleanliness was impeccable. We had the drive-and-dive package. The scuba diving staff was very attentive and well-organized. They explain the procedures, you do a buoyancy check to ensure you have good buoyancy, then you collect your tanks and head out to dive. I highly recommend them. We'll see you soon!
Great snorkeling from beach
Terry9999 (Nashua, New Hampshire) on Mar 03, 2026
This is a nice resort overall, the facilities are nice, the lazy river is great, the location is great, and if you like snorkeling you can do it right from the resort--Bari reef encompasses the entire beachfront of the resort, which is nice. The grounds are well kept and the staff is overall friendly and helpful. The kitchenette in the room is really great, and you're going to need it, because now that I listed all the positive stuff, as other reviewers have said, the food here was kind of lacking. We didn't eat at the really expensive restaurant here, I can't remember the name of it--because our experience at the Bari beach restaurant was pretty poor. The service was pretty slow (I was told this can be a Dutch and/or Bonaire thing, so no big deal) but the prices were really steep for food that was kind of meh. $20 for an open faced sandwich with one slice of bread, two slices of ham on top, some cheese, and olive oil. This was the sandwich "special" that day. For real. Another time we ordered nachos; this was a basket of tortilla chips, not heated, with Velveeta cheese poured on and a bit of guacamole and sour cream. For $16. So we ate at the restaurant once or twice and then avoided all food choices on the property altogether after that. The good news is there are plenty of grocery stores nearby and plenty of restaurants on the island, so between the kitchenette and the other restaurants we were in good shape. We had a rented car, so that helped. So overall I can't give it 5 stars because the food was pretty lousy, but other than that it was a nice stay for my wife and I.
