Great Stay

loved the stay but it would have been awesome if I had the room that I requested for. The fireplace was the highlight of the stay , Initially we didn't knew how to turn it on but a very helpful staff walked us through and made it smooth. There was no fridge or microwave available in the room which was little discomfit.
Mini Banff Honeymoon

We had such a lovely time. Our room was beautiful and the staff was great. I was extra happy to see that they had a portable fan/heater in the room. The room was very warm so no extra heat was needed but I am a hot sleeper and had forgotten my fan, so the little touch was amazing. I slept great!
Lodge feel excellence

Everything was perfect at Buffalo Mountain Lodge. The exact lodge style feel we were chasing. Conveniently located at one of the roam bus stops. Out of the main strip to make you feel miles away albeit only a 10 minute walk from Banff ave. It was potentially our favourite accomodation we have ever stayed at.
Good....but could be great!

We went for New Years. Unfortunately after multiple attempts the set NYE dinner menu was not available, so we booked NYE dinner elsewhere. We've stayed here a few times before and its a beautiful property in a scenic location but the hotel needs to improve its overall operations (quality of drinks in the lounge, making sure hot tub has towels and water is clean). We really appreciate the small details so we were very pleased to get a calendar and caramels with a thank you card for choosing to stay with them over New Years. Its also really nice to have the wood burning fireplaces to use in the room.
Lost its charm

Huge disappointment. It's lost its charm with a tacky renovation, replacing the warmth and character of the previous state to white washed, run of the mill, tacky interior. Food and service was great but a vacuum of ambience. More of a cafeteria with good food than a comfortable dining experience. Leaves you feeling that BML sold out for another average tourist turn over kinda banff experience.
