Lovely hotel in a beautiful location with friendly staff and great staff

Everything you would imagine from a Canadian hotel. Beautifully styled wooden lodge style accommodation. Room has loads of character and features including a fireplace, which we didn’t need to use. Spacious bedroom and bathroom and we had a lovely balcony which was great for breakfast or a nightcap with amazing views. The staff were so friendly and helpful, we on,y had one issue when we came back in the evening and wanted to sit in the lounge for a drink but it took ages to get serviced. But other than that they were very good. They helped with suggestions about hikes and we were also able to borrow some bear spray. We had breakfast and dinner in the restaurant (The Prow) and the food was excellent. Also spent a bit of time in the hot tub which is really nice and the hotel supply extra towels.
Nice stay in Banff

We had a great stay at this hotel. The room was very clean, and the location was excellent. There were several beautiful walking trails nearby, making it easy to explore the area. The free shuttle service was very convenient and made getting around simple. We also enjoyed seeing wildlife around the property, which made the stay feel even more special. The only downside was that the room did not have air conditioning. During warmer days, the room could become a bit uncomfortable, especially in the afternoon. Other than that, we had a very pleasant experience and would recommend this hotel for its cleanliness, convenient location, and easy access to nature.
Peaceful Location Away from Downtown

Downtown Banff can be a little overwhelming on a crowded summer day, with literally thousands of people walking up and down Main Street each hour and parking impossible to find. That’s why it was so nice to stay on Tunnel Mountain at the Buffalo Mountain Lodge. While less than 10 minutes from downtown Banff, it felt a world away. The setting is really beautiful, with hiking trails just steps away. However, you never really feel inconvenienced by not staying downtown on Main Street, because the lodge provides free Roam bus passes and the bus picks up right out front of the lodge and whisks you downtown in less than a quarter hour. If you prefer to avoid downtown altogether, there is a nice bar and restaurant at the hotel, along with a fitness center and hot tub for the guests. The rooms themselves are quite large, and distributed around the main lodge in several 2 story buildings with ample parking alongside them. We even had a fireplace in our room, along with a nice balcony facing the mountains. Staff were helpful and we really had a nice stay.
This is the best hotel

More quiet environment than any other banff hotel. Many wild animal lives near, maybe you encounters them. They gave us free bus ticket available within banff, so it was easy to go downtown. The stuff is very kind to us.(Japanese)
