Booking food pkg with stay is worth it!

The food a The Prow is very good choice, quality and quantity. Beds were soft and fluffy. A bit of noise from the suite above us going in and out and on the stairs. We didnt have any issues finding a close parking spot.

Family trip with baby

Gopakumar G (Granite Bay, California) on Jul 19, 2024

We liked the lodge for how close it was to Banff Ave and other good places in Banff. We were traveling with a baby and was hoping to get a relaxing room. Upon arrival we were checked-in promptly but given a room on the 2nd floor. The room was very basic and cramped, with an almost clogged sink and dusty chairs outside. Even the coffee maker had dust inside or perhaps was not cleaned for a while. There was barely any space for our baby to crawl around. Comparing to the hotels like Hampton Inn or Hyatt Place where we stayed prior to Banff, the hotel room here seemed much smaller for the price paid. The best part about this hotel was the cafe for breakfast and of course, the proximity to Banff ave and Gondola ride. I did not find the front-office staff to be very helpful as I was expecting some amount of explanation from them about the amenities offered by the hotel and/or some tips for things to do in Banff.

Expectations superseded

Beautiful lodges about 1km just outside Banff town. A walk down the hill towards town or take the bus from just across the road for $1. The lodges are to a very high standard, very clean ands a nice balcony to sit out on. Air con would have been nice but didn’t take away from the experience in any way. Definitely recommend visiting and would gladly come back and stay again

Be sure to note... no AC in rooms during hot summer months.

Gary G on Jul 16, 2024

The lodge sits in a beautiful location, with the mountain range in the backdrop. The Prow restaurant had delicious and food for us to enjoy. However, our main concern was that there was no air conditioning in the rooms. I have sever environmental allergies and sleeping with the windows open during the night caused me to have difficulties with my breathing and congestion of my head. The temperatures were in the upper 80's and low 90's during our stay, so it was too hot to keep the windows closed. If I had seen that air conditioning was not a part of the rooms, I would have selected a different place to stay.
