Simply, the Fairmont Palliser Calgary is an absolutely great hotel! We have been in many fine hotels, but this is the first and only one that prepared breakfast sandwiches and coffee to go for us for an early flight. Thank you Fairmont Gold!

We had two rooms here (758 and 759), one of which was a suite with lots of floor space. The suite had the bathroom off the living room with shower in the tub. AC wasn't so good in the bedroom and we heard noises that sounded like what you hear inside the elevator going from floor to floor although the elevators were far from our room. Beautiful flowers and some nice treats greeted us. The Fairmont Gold lounge was pretty good with a nice spread in the evenings. I liked the indoor pool and steam room open till 11. The gym was adequate although a bit small for a top city hotel. The weak point here is the food. Dinner at the restaurant was fair; the food was just not cooked well and the dessert was poor. Breakfast buffet was really poor and the a la carte was fair; the potatoes with the eggs came from a packet. This hotel is the only luxury hotel in the city and they have no competition. They could use it. It's a great example of Fairmont not being consistent across properties. if you are stopping over in Calgary for a night, it's adequate. But nobody wanted to be here a second night. Downtown Calgary feels like Sunday afternoon even on a weekday. The real shopping action apart from Simmons a few blocks away is at the malls in the suburbs.

I was travelling with my mother for a special event in Calgary. Neha was very helpful and accommodating to find us a room that provided the accessibility that we needed. Throughout our stay, Neha and all staff were very attentive, offered exceptional service and gave us gold star treatment. Thank you to all the staff for a wonderful and memorable stay.

Our experience at the Fairmont Palliser was quite positive. It is a classically aged hotel, but with age it has elegance. Staff is efficient and pleasant. Our room (Junior Suite) was nice but it sadly lacked electronic portals which in today's world is without acceptable excuse. Bathroom was updated and nice. Fairmont Gold Lounge was extremely pleasant but food was a bit too pedestrian.

My wife and I hosted our wedding reception at the Fairmont Palliser and could not be happier with the experience. The level of service and attention to detail was unmatched (Thanks Nicole!) We we also impressed with Arin and team who were able to deliver an amazing fully gluten free custom dessert for our guests!
