Pleasant experience.

We enjoyed the Fairmont Palliser hotel. The service was great and the staff was professional and courteous. I especially wish to thank Cecilia for her assistance with booking dinners at the Hawthorne Restaurant and the Sky 360. Our dinners were exceptional! She also arranged for car service to Banff for us. Her assistance was greatly appreciated. She certainly is an asset to your hotel.

Disappointed

My least enjoyable Fairmont experience. Most of the Accor benefits were missing or not offered. My profile lists two robes for children aged 4 and 7. Had to ask for these. A complimentary drink was offered to me, not my children. Needed to ask for this at check in, despite my children being identified in the reservation. Reebok attire not in the room, and no turn down service offered. The welcome amenity was 6-8 individual small chocolates. The mini fridge was warm not cool. Dirty wine glasses with lipstick prints, and the Wifi did not connect with my Accor membership number. There was a dog bed and bowl in our room. We did not reserve a dog friendly room. All of these issues were brought to the attention of the manager (Vanessa) working the night we checked in. She apologized and offered a dessert to make up for the sad welcome amenity. I paid for this at check out as I had no desire to ask for the $20 (ish) expense to be taken off our bill. This should have been taken care of. None of the $10 credits per day were applied despite me asking Vanessa about this at check in. There was no follow up by Vanessa or anyone else at the Palliser regarding our stay. What Vanessa did offer, was to allow my kids and I to eat our complimentary breakfast in our room. I was pleased with this. As a diamond member, the experience received at the Palliser is not aligned with the Accor brand. This is disappointing as Accor and I both lose. I cancelled an additional reservation (June 17-20) and stayed at the Marriott instead. Not only did Accor lose our business for the weekend, I lost future points and amenities. The 9th floor is in need of repair. I have a picture of the dents in the walls. While staying at the Empress last October, I found out each Fairmont hotel is individually owned. Perhaps the owner of the Palliser could visit various other Fairmont properties in Canada to feel, see, taste and experience what the brand Fairmont and Accor truly is. You will not receive this experience at the Palliser.
