This is a good choice for a Banff hotel. Although the rooms are some way from reception/restaurant the room was really nice with an excellent bath tub. The rsataurant was good with a table available to watch the World Cup.

Buffalo Mountain Lodge is the perfect combination of luxury and lodge. The atmosphere was relaxed without any sacrifice of quality and service. It was away from the hustle of downtown, yet the downtown area was easily accessible via the complimentary shuttle bus. If I ever return to this area, I will stay here again.

We stayed 2 nights and the room was large and nice. It had a fireplace but we didn't get to use it as it was too warm. Good size fridge with freezer. Good nature view outside our balcony. The food prices are reasonable and the staff were great. They give you a free pass for the Roam buses which not only takes you downtown but by changing buses it takes you to the Gondola. The frequency is very good.

The Buffalo Mountain Lodge were amazing from start to finish for our three-night stay. I have given them five stars not because the facilities were perfect (they weren’t - some of the place is a little old and dated) but the management and our experience went beyond the expectations we had. Upon arrival we were upgraded, so rather than being in a hotel-like room, we had an apartment-style room with separate bedroom and lounge, and even had a small kitchen. This was perfect for us. We were given bus passes, which came in handy on Day 1 when we wanted to explore downtown Banff. The bus stop is just outside the hotel. The hot tub was enormous and we had it to ourselves. Mule deer wandered past our room in the evenings. We didn’t go to the restaurant, unfortunately, but it was popular every evening.

Beautiful resort conveniently located near hiking and downtown Banff. Shuttle worked great to get to downtown. Restaurant was very good and reasonably priced for the high quality. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful.
