The Banff Ptarmigan Inn is centrally located in Banff National Park only steps away from the downtown area. This mountain hotel is a great escape to the Canadian Rockies. On your vacation you can enjoy our mountain views, and numerous outdoor activities from hiking trails, canoe rides, and biking in the summer, skiing, skating, and snowshoeing in the winter. Good hotel!

We stayed here because was one of the cheapest in the area and it turned out to be good hotel. It was clean, the room was small but cozy, there was availability for an early check in which is always appreciated and very close to the nice town of banff where they had nice shops. Window vies for us were average , we had a street view. Room was silent during the night. They give you free bus tickets and a card with discounts for shops in the city.

Very nice rooms with Mountain View’s. We splurged for a king suite, fireplace, eating area, nice bathroom and beautiful views of Tunnel Mountain. Staff was very attentive and helpful. We were there in the summer, but this is also a good ski-resort hotel. They have a wet-room and amenities specifically for skiers. Also has hot tubs and steam/sauna. There is a restaurant on site, but there are better choices nearby.
