One week in Cancun

brandonpucha4 (New York City, New York) on Jul 12, 2025

For being an all inclusive resort, the food quality is lacking. It’s the same cuisine for lunch and dinner. It’ll have you going to the bathroom a lot. Breakfast was ok, best to make a reservation at the restaurants provided. I recommend El Dorado steak house, really great. Found a dead roach and scorpion in my room, the lack of attention to detail while cleaning is disturbing. Be careful and to always check your surroundings and belongings before using.

Absolutely poor

rememberkita2025 on Jul 10, 2025

My clothes were not returned after sending them to be laundered. The ceiling in our room was falling down and the room ceiling was leaking so much in the middle of the night we had a puddle. House keeping thought it was normal and didn’t take it serious that someone could have been hurt. The phone in the room didn’t work that was suppose to keep communication with the staff or services. It was awful.

Here for a wedding not a circus.

Tazuria D on Jul 10, 2025

Check-in: Long… too long. If you’re checking in multiple parties, it’s complicated. If your wedding party is coming at different times, they will all experience the long wait time. They serve sweets and a bar of liquor… but when you get off a plane and have traveled, you’re looking for food — not sweets. NO BUENO (poor facilitating judgment). They do smile at you, try to say everything is okay… but I don’t know ONE place where you are sitting in a hotel lobby for this long… hour(s). Room: Nice looking until you look closer. Sheets were not cleaned; they had stains on them… and not the kind that couldn’t come out. Bring your own sheets if you can fit them in your luggage. The cleaning service doesn’t carry blankets, or so I was told. When I asked for all clean bedding, they only changed the sheet. The cleaning lady said, “She doesn’t have blankets,” and used the same one that was dirty. The bar in the room: Nicely stocked with liquor but just not enough WATER. You think, “No problem, I’ll get more.” Well, that may take hours — 40 to 90 minutes — if it comes at all. That’s standard for room service. If it’s late and you’re a little tipsy, forget about room service. Hope you ate before… Restaurants: It’s hit or miss on food and service. Don’t have a favorite restaurant because the butler may say, “Sorry, no room available.” They only have so much space and time, they say… Except, a resort that was really meant to serve the people wouldn’t shut down if service was still needed. You will need to schedule your preferences early — that’s if your butler introduces themselves and lets you know the “inside scoop.” Butler service: My TRS VIP butler didn’t introduce themselves until the 3rd day — hahah — and only because I called the front desk wondering what was going on. The butler came to the door, apologized… yeah, and only then did I start learning about the reservations and all that. By then, it was too late to book, really. The places I wanted to go were just “unavailable.” I would say that the butler service needs more thought and support. Couldn’t tell if they were actually helpful, to be honest with you. The most value they brought was the events of the day — IF you were introduced to them. But the events of the day for an all-inclusive resort should just be a basic accommodation. Buses: Oh boy, the transportation. I wish you luck! I think I could have spent maybe a fourth or fifth of my time waiting on transportation to get me around the resort. Do they have enough carts? Maybe. Are there enough drivers? NO. Buses should not be allowed to pass by people. Also, if the bus is not for guests, it needs to CLEARLY state that. The place needs more thought. I see anyone can be picked up on the travel club buses, so they’re not a priority for travel club members… matter of fact, there are fewer of those, and good luck waiting for one to pass by. So I got on whatever bus would let me on. You wait so long you think you can walk, until you waste more time getting lost. I’ve been looking at those signs for 10 days… I’m fairly good at reading signs, but these confuse me. Activities: The activities are cool. There isn’t a complaint there. Because the service isn’t great, you rely on the people you’re with and natural structures like the beach to make you happy. The spa — yes, that’s the place to be when you’re not being guided by the staff because it’s your first time. They will leave you in the sauna or cold room and ask you when you want them to get you out. I said 10 minutes… he would forget about us. So 10 turned into 15… maybe even 20. BUT when you’re alone and can go on your own time, it’s a nice place to be. They could have little timers so we can set a time in each healing space… but that would require thought beyond “get money from guests” and more toward “how can I make this experience 5-star for guests?” Improvement: The building… I heard this place is way bigger than in 2020. They are currently building a floating bar near the village. They’re making more fun things but don’t realize what’s broken. Hmm, what else is there… I may have covered it. Overall: If you’re coming only with the expectation that you will enjoy family — not service — then your time will be fine here. It’s a pretty resort… nice to look at. Expect to wait or walk. The guests here are really nice. They can save the experience, too. Hope this helped. It helped me to write it.

It was an amazing experience!! I miss it so much. Went paddleboarding with Fernanda and she was the sweetest. Her company made paddleboarding so much better. Also shoutout to Hugo and Guillermo! They took us on the kitchen tour and had so much charm and fun characters. Really the staff made it so special. Everyone was so kind and willing to help us.
