Satisfactory with some disappointments

A few issues but overall a beautiful resort, friendly staff, decent food. We had a double room. Shower didn’t have hot water for the first couple of days. Was resolved after complaining. Fire alarm would go off at odd times of day and night. Eventually fixed. Beach unusable due to seaweed. 25th anniversary repeatedly mentioned, never acknowledged. We spent a lot for a double room for 7 nights. Air conditioning in room was inadequate and we felt very hot at night. Kids club is great. Our 6 year old twins loved it there. Shout out to the very fun and caring staff: Arge, Nath, Gris, Pau, Eli, Fany, Emily, Monce. Can’t thank them enough for the fun activities, pizza making class, singing, dane party, jewelry making etc. They couldn’t wait to go.

Family experience? <--- upwards inflection

Firstly, the vendors that run up-and-down the hall through to the splash pad; being accosted and harrassed - especially the pandering to my young kids, is certainly on my list of relaxation techniques. Also, for a billion dollar company, the lack of a true app is abhorrent. Getting a cab/taxi out of the hotel to go shopping is barely possible. Splash pad is grossly outdated and in dire need of an upgrade. Restaurants sans kids menus - and if they have them, don't tell you until the last minute. Auma couldn't cook either (of our) steak(s) properly (grossly underdone). But they did offer to reconcile, amd admitted their wrong doing, which was appreciated. Room? Fantastic. Good size with balcony and two queen beds. Some semblance of privacy in the washroom area would be nice, however. Staff were overall very friendly and accommodating. Drinks were watered-down, most assuredly. Not an anomaly. Overall? 3.5/5.

Activities coordinator Angelo was the best!

Stayed at Hilton Cancun and it was super fun! We especially enjoyed all the activities, where we met Angelo, one of the activities coordinators. He was super fun and lead each activity with passion and energy!
