Food tasted bland, mix drinks were a huge hit and miss. I just stuck to canned drinks, and the entertainment (DJ) seemed more of an interruption to the flow of things around the pool. Why can't DJ's just shut up and play music? Observe and read the crowd. No fault to hotel but the beach was covered in seaweed, so everyone stayed around pool area causing a shortage of umbrellas, chairs, lounge chairs. Not sure if they were hotel employees but they have people in lobby constantly asking if they can interest you in some excursion scheme for a discount. I have a few other points but im gonna leave it at that.
A decent option for a budget all inclusive

You will get what you pay for. It is an option and there are some pluses for family travel. The pool was small but fun, there is a small but decent fitness center. Drinks were good, menus were varied enough and there was mostly not a wait to eat at them outside of days when a large influx of people arrived or the weather was poor and everyone was inside. Beware if stay by rooms in the 2800 section. There was a pervasive sewage smell in that area. The bathrooms are nearby, but for someone to make the smell we smelled it would probably have warranted a trip to the hospital. The rooms are in ok shape, but the air works and the fan keeps it cool and humming if you need one to sleep. Like most all inclusives, you will get constantly hounded for add ons (spa, time share presentation, etc) but the staff aren’t pushy. The staff as a whole are the best part. Friendly, accommodating, and very cheerful. They were definitely the highlight of the trip.
Better than expected

Great place for a family stay. Was worried due to reviews I had read but turned out better than expected. Since the beginning we were greeted with smiles. Plenty of things to do and eat throughout the day. Our room was the oceanfront view, room was big only needs the shower area to be updated. The floors are tile therefore slippery. Other than that the room was cold and cleaned everyday. 6th floor has its own area with a bar, pool table, tv, and small bites to snack on making it perfect to relax for a bit. The lobby has entertainment every evening. The entertainment guy comes off rude but the bartenders make up for it. Shout out to bartenders Jesus, Armando,Paulina and Carlos! There are pools for kids and the main pool has entertainment which was nice. The restaurants service was prompt and their food had a nice presentation to it. Waiters very attentive. Check out was easy. Overall, very satisfied.
You get what you paid for.

Friendly staff, multiple restaurants and beautiful beech. Most importantly, reasonably priced all inclusive package. Aged rooms and limited menu options. Food quality is average or below average, and quality is not consistent. Their price reflects the quality, you get what you paid for.
Hyatt better take some notes from prior owners

I have been going to this resort since 2010 and taking my daughter every year since 2020. Prior to this visit, I never bad any complaints whatsoever. However, this time since Hyatt has bought this property, there was noticeably negative impacts. The first room we checked into was full of ants, including in the bedding. We were immediately moved to another room. At first, I didn't see any ants but within the first hour, they started to appear and house keeping sprayed on two occasions. The outside of the (from the pool area looking at the building) is run down, needs painted, alot of chipping in the paint, black spots and the white trim all black. All prior trips, the interior and exterior was always looking like new. The staff is still amazing and top notch (excluding the spa people). But everyone from the bellboy to wait staff to misc employees are amazing and go above and beyond. The spa staff needs to stop hounding people every couple minutes if they want a massage. We were asked sometimes 10 plus times a day and within minutes of being asked, another employee came around asking. They didn't take "NO" for an answer and some would ask WHY
