Beware of the Mexican Night Stall selling - they are a scam, no receipt and when you try and return, they act dumb, even though I did return, they told my CC company I did not, and were paid. Hotel and food was ok, it's a 3 star resort, I got completely sick of course after staying there with the food and water, my stomach cannot handle Mexico.

We went to relax in the sun and water with an all-inclusive stay. Arrival went smoothly and the room was spacious. We had a pretty view off the balcony. The building was quiet and nicely furnished. The air conditioning worked well with the remote. Meals were great as the chef was skilled at presenting a variety of Mexican dishes as well as offering some simpler standards. The buffet allowed a sampling of most items. I had to pick and choose. A menu was also available if you wanted to limit yourself to one meal. The beach was small but adequate and the pool was relaxing. Some activities and shows were also available. Cozumel is pretty with some Mayan ruins to visit, a lighthouse to climb in the south and the usual shopping in the city. We loved it.

5/5 experience Rodger Lopez was so nice and so kind he is a great addition to the el cid hotel in Cozumel.when he walks around he is always smiling and laughing and it is so nice to experience that kindness and happiness. Hope to see the guy again!!??

Good and beverages with really good quality and variety; service on waiters/waitress, lobby team and house keep really close and kind. Ammenities in hotel include snorkeling area, spa, all inclusive meals with seafood variety, beach club and small pool and jacuzzi.

Our room was a one bedroom with a king size bed with a living room and kitchenette. The couch converted to a bed also. The TV in the bedroom did not work well and the remote control batteries were dead. The TV in the living room worked fine. When you stay at El Cid resorts in Puerto Morelos and pay for the all inclusive, the room refrigerator was stocked with water, sodas, and beer but not in Cozumel. At El Cid Cozumel they have one restaurant and a cevicheria that you have to pay extra to order off the menu and for canned beer and “premium liquor “. The staff is friendly, especially the bell men, the front desk staff is friendly alsobut make sure they charge you up front for the all-inclusive if you want it, instead of having to come up with the money at the end of your vacation. The activities director Roger Lopez very friendly and was awesome, and the restaurant staff was very attentive and friendly. The bar tender really needs to learn to make a proper Piña Colada. You can’t taste hardly any piña in their drinks. I won’t waste my money at El Cid Cozumel again and I cannot recommend it to anyone else. The best part of my stay was the ocean view.
