Spend a beautiful 7 day vacay at the Rif. Favorite restaurant was the Mexican. I found the following staff members very helpful: Sherline, Raphael, Stephanie, Xiara & Dayenne. We will be back in Dec of this year.

My experience was good. But I had a bad experience with Stephanie at guess services. Sherline had booked dinner for me and stephany said it wasn't set up. She was very helpful and personable.
Horrible Hilton experience

This resort definitely does not live up to Hilton standard that we are used to as gold members. The cost per night is pretty high and we expected more based on how much we pay per night. Most restaurants require reservations. In other resorts, a few restaurants might have reservation requirements but here most do except for the buffet and beach lunch restaurant. The service is slow and sometimes you don’t even have anyone come up and get your drink order for 30 plus minutes. You can’t order more than one thing at the Italian restaurant and they aren’t flexible with substitutions or additions to the meal. The service is horrible. You can’t even order a simple cocktail like Aperol spritz at the Italian restaurant and have to walk almost to the other side to get your own drink and wait in bar line for 15-30mins while your food gets cold. It is supposed to be an all inclusive experience but it isn’t at all. We haven’t been to other reservation restaurants yet but we assume the same issues will come up while we stuck here. Quite a few of the service staff look like they are upset at being here. At lunch buffet, no one even offered a drink. We could ignore if it was just one thing but many things add up. The rooms don’t get cleaned every day apparently. We had a clean room sign all day and no one came. When we called the front desk in the evening to see why no one cleaned, we couldn’t get a straight response and we can’t sleep on dirty sheets. There is no real entertainment. They post that they have beach and pool activities and we haven’t seen any during the day. A few kids finally stayed playing volleyball, but no pool or beach activities from entertainment staff. Another thing to consider, you should bring a big water bottle to refill. We completely understand saving the environment and not having bottles of water to pollute, but the resort gave us one 10 or 12 ounce water bottle that we have to walk to the opposite side of the building to fill up for drinking water. When you drink no less than 6 bottles of water a day, we are walking to the opposite end of the building 6 to 8 times a day just to get water out of a fountain. If you’re gonna tell people that we have to use reusable water containers, at least give us a larger container so we don’t make so many trips to the opposite side of the building - or put more water fountains in. Overall, we got a nonrefundable trip so we’re stuck here, but we tried to ask to leave early so that we could go somewhere else but they told us we would end up losing our money if we leave early to try enjoy Curacao somewhere else. Honestly, not what we expected from a Hilton curio resort.
A good destination for sun lovers out for a relaxing getaway.

This hotel is a great destination for those who like lying in the sun and taking an occasional dip in a pool or at the beach. There are hundreds of beds for sunbathing or lounging by the pool but shade is at a premium. And of course, there are bars everywhere to keep patrons happy. Unfortunately, the never-ending thumping background music is an irritating distraction. Other activities are limited, although there is a nice gym with several modern cardio and exercise machines as well as a good array of free weights. The walk into Willemstad is easy and worthwhile. It is better to do this early or late in the day due to the heat. The buffet has numerous good quality food selections adequate to meet the needs of all clients. The food in the Maya Mexican restaurant is fairly standard for commercial Mexican restaurants however the portion sizes are quite small. I was not impressed with the food at the Harbor restaurant, however that may be due to my selections. The hotel seems to appeal to the full range of clients – all ages and sexual persuasions, families, couples and singles.
