Great stay at Rif at Mangrove beach

Natasa A on Jul 25, 2026

We stayed at the Riff at Mangrove beach and had access to some restaurants the other facility guests did not have. We loved our stay, the food was great, even at the regular buffet. From the restaurants we loved the Seafood Tavern the most, we are seafood lovers, others were great too. Check in was fast, they cleaned the room well, anything we requested was brought to us within 15 min. There was AC issue one day with couple of rooms on our floor, 3 rd floor, they fixed it very fast. The guys at the coffee shop Mondi were great, always greeting us with a smile,Tugfan and Gulcan. Special shout out to Batu at the beach bar at Riff ,made the best drinks, very friendly. Adnan at Sofra restaurant made sure we had enough food, followed up with us if we liked the food and if we needed anything else. We stayed in the ocean view room. There was a ship that was fixing something and was in our view for couple of days but it did not bother us. Otherwise the view from the room was great. The hotel is a walking distance to Willemstead, we visited day and at night as well. Very safe to walk. It is 0.8 miles from the resort, 15 min walking. On Thursday they have vendors and fireworks at 8.15 pm at Willemstead, it was very lively. The beach at Riff was sandy and not a problem getting into water, on the Mangrove side you need beach shoes to get into the water, little stones but nothing too bad. The beach is sandy just getting into the water. Mangrove side was more family oriented while I felt the Riff side was more calm. They had shows at night and some kids stuff too. We took the kayak tour through the Mangrove park , it starts at the resort, $25 per person, very serene, lasts 1 hr, our guide was very knowledgeable, we got to touch up side down jellyfish fish/not poisonous. One day we rented a car and went to Mambo beach, Groot Knip, Kokomo, Laguna, Piscada, Fronti, Kalki. At Kalki beach they have infinity pool overlooking the ocean, DJ and happy hr from 4 to 5 at the beach club right above the beach. We loved it, good vibes. We had all inclusive , we did not eat out but good places are Cascaida roof top, Del Torro , our friends went there. Don’t drink the water from the faucet, they give you containers and they have filtered eater everywhere throughout the resort and on every floor in the hotel. We had a great time at Riff and definitely would come back. Staff is very attentive and very friendly. Rooms and grounds are very clean. Also you can get as many towels at the beach as you want, I was shocked, there is no towel card like other places we have gone to. We liked that a lot. Everything opens early, towel stand, coffee shop, buffet.

Amazing stay at the Rif

Nkechi A (Minneapolis, Minnesota) on Jul 24, 2026

We had an incredible time at the RIF. The location was conveniently close to several tourist attractions. The staff was exceptional, attentive to our every need, professional, and courteous. The food was simply amazing. The buffet was always well-stocked and offered a wide variety of delicious options. I’ve been to a few other all-inclusive resorts, but this one stands out as the best so far. I’ll definitely be returning.

Would Not Recommend for Families with Kids

Sean H on Jul 24, 2026

We stayed at The Rif in Curaçao with our family of six, including an infant, and met up with family from New York and Atlanta. Unfortunately, this was the worst hotel service I’ve ever experienced. The staff were consistently unfriendly and unhelpful. A simple example: I asked an employee at the lobby café what was inside a pastry because my children have food sensitivities, and his response was, “I don’t know. Do you want it or not?” That attitude summed up our entire stay. The front desk was no better. Every day I asked where I could get milk for my baby, and every day they looked at me like they had no idea what I was asking. For an all-inclusive resort, they were constantly running out of food—even kid favorites like chicken nuggets. I actually lost weight on this vacation because there was often so little available to eat. Housekeeping was also very sloppy, and the kids’ entertainment lacked any energy or enthusiasm. The property itself is beautiful, but the management needs major improvements. If you’re traveling with young children, I would look elsewhere. A family resort should make families feel welcome—not like they’re a burden.

For the first day after a long travel, very disappointing..

Bossmila on Jul 21, 2026

We booked two rooms, and upon entering both, we were disappointed to find that neither had been properly cleaned. The black bedside tables were covered in dust and fingerprints, the TV stand still had coffee mug stains from previous guests, and both the bathrooms and floors were sandy. As Hilton Gold members, we expected clean rooms at a minimum. We also hoped to be considered for an upgrade, but both rooms overlook the parking lot. We were told the resort was fully booked, yet the property appears very quiet with few guests around, which makes that explanation difficult to understand. This is a disappointing start to our stay and not the level of cleanliness or service we expect from Hilton.
