Great Resort!

What a great resort! Comfortable, quiet, full access to 5 Star Amenities & 7 Mile Beach right across the street. My compliments also to Bella at the front desk who was fantastic! Great service, arranged transportation, etc. Highly recommend!
Winter getaway for sun.

We chose this accommodation as we didn’t want a big resort but we wanted access to the water. The resort didn’t disappoint. It is big enough to not feel like an awkward spot tucked away. But it is tucked away and quiet. The pool is fine, we only sat near the pool for meals and didn’t use it for swimming. Others did but there were often seats available. Having access to their sister property The Westin was fantastic. Much more lively at The Westin. Which can be good and bad. The room was good, well kept but nothing special. Price was great.
Going to get even better

I love Sunshine Suites! I have been there many times. It may not be the top hotel on the Island but it is economical and the location is great with access to the Westin Resort and beach. It has, it must be said got a little tired but there is a huge upgrade going on and I hope to see a sparkling new Sunshine soon. The staff are incredibly helpful and friendly and I should like to mention both Gil and Ella on the front desk - but they are all great. The grounds are kept immaculately and the rooms are swept through by a team of very efficient ladies. Well done Sunshine!
Our second time here. Mixed review. Prepare if you choose Sunshine Suites.

You can’t beat the easy walk to the beach at the Westin, and use of their chairs, towels, pools, beach chairs & food/drinks which can be billed to S.Suites. However, there are preparations to consider & the staff is not overly helpful. To prepare (we did this both times here), I would *suggest* the following: bring a bar of soap from home for the shower. We have used the same, tiny bar of hand soap which was never replaced even after 5 days. Bring a small dehumidifier: doors go directly outside but the ceiling fan + AC just don’t remove the moisture. It’s an older property which hasn’t been updated in 30 years. Bring a drying rack: there is no balcony, outdoor seating, etc to dry bathing suits & swim shirts. Bring your own hangers. You get 4-5. Only 1 side of the bed has a nightstand, so the other person must prepare for charging their devices at night by bringing a power strip of some kind. They’ll end up setting devices on the floor, on the AC unit (yuck) or the windowsill (icky). Bring earplugs if you are bothered by roosters crowing at 6 am until 10-11 am every day. Not hating, just saying. It’s the culture and that’s fine, but I thought you should know to prepare. We always tip the cleaning people at least $5-7 dollars per day, in cash, on the bed. The last time, they replenished 2 16-oz water bottles each day, which was lovely & unexpected. Not so this time. Today, we didn’t even receive clean hand towels: just 3 washcloths hanging where the hand towels had been. When I called the front desk, they said we could stop down & pick some up. My wife & I didn’t come here to do someone’s job; we both already have jobs. Just be prepared for what you get. There are LOTS of rentals on the island, near the beach. We will consider other places next time & may or may not return.
Great stay.

My wife and I had a great stay at the sunshine suites. Weather was great, the sunshine grill restaurant was very convenient with great food. Gill was especially helpful and accommodating for our stay. Already looking forward to returning next January 2026. Thanks, D and T.
