The hospitality at Sunshine hotel exceptional. The folks at the front desk were esp ially kind and helpful . Special shoutout to Ella and others! Room was excellent and so was room service! The restaurant Sunshine Grill had very good food. We felt particularly well taken care of by Anne Marie and Elly!! They were so kind and attentive and helpful when I wasn’t feeling well. I am grateful to them . I would be back in a heartbeat!

This is a solid boutique hotel option. The staff overall were friendly and the rooms were clean. Sister property is Westin so can use their pool/beach and restaurant. You do have to cross a major road (which you can see on the map prior to booking) to go to the Westin. The property is quiet even being by the pool. There are some lunch spots that are easy to walk to from the hotel. Would recommend this place for anyone looking for a quiet/clean place to come back to after daily excursions off property.

We stayed a week at Sunshine Suites in one of the executive suites. The property is completely renovated and the interior design on the rooms and restaurant is beautifully done! The room was very clean and the kitchen is fully equipped for cooking. Paying extra for the executive suite was worth it! Living room area with dining table, kitchen then a separate bedroom was spacious and felt like a studio apartment. Bathroom was small but had decent counter space. The a/c worked beautifully in the room! The pool area is lovely and we never saw anyone using it. The Sunshine Grill restaurant serves breakfast, lunch and dinner and was very good. We never used the small gym but it is brand new. Having access to the Westin hotel, which is a five minute walk across the street, was the main reason why we chose this property. Use of their beach, loungers, pool and signing privileges was great! Sunshine Suites charged us a $35 per day resort fee (which includes access to the Westin), is cheaper than the $85 resort fee per day that the Westin charges their guests! I would’ve chosen to stay at Sunshine suites over the Westin any day! What I wasn’t thrilled about was the amount of roosters roaming the property of this resort. The Cock-a-doodle doo’s became quite annoying at times but it is not the resorts fault. It seems to be an issue all over the island and there was plenty at the Westin too! What was exceptional at this property was the staff! Everyone was so personable, attentive, and efficient, which is rare at many island destinations. This place is truly a hidden gem in terms of room rates compared to the other hotels on the island. We thoroughly enjoyed or stay at the Sunshine suites and would definitely come back!

My wife and I returned home a few days ago from enjoying our 7th stay since 2011 at the Sunshine Hotel & Suites and once again I'll repeat what I have written previously....this property remains exactly as the numerous reviews on TripAdvisor have suggested over the years....easily the best value on Seven Mile Beach and perhaps all of Grand Cayman. What has changed very significantly since our last visit in May, 2024 is the total renovation of the property....rooms, restaurant, lobby and new gym. It was much needed and it has been done wonderfully. Our executive suite was bright, spacious, well designed, clean, quiet and comfortable. The kitchenette is well equipped with plates, glasses, cutlery, pots and pans, coffee machine, microwave, electric stove and refrigerator. We appreciated having the kitchenette which we used daily to enjoy coffee, tea, toast, eggs, boiled and scrambled. The Sunshine Grill restaurant post renovation looks great and as it's always been, it is very popular with hotel guests and locals because of its high quality and modest prices (we enjoyed several dinners in the Grill) and the staff couldn't have been nicer and more accommodating. The WiFi is excellent throughout the resort...rooms, Grill and public areas. And with the renovation has come the aforementioned new gym in a separate small building which is well equipped with Peloton bikes, treadmills, ellipticals, weights and mats. Guests of the Sunshine may readily use the beach chaise lounge chairs, towels, gym, spa, WiFi, etc. at the Westin Grand Cayman Resort (100 yards or 3 minute walk) and also charge any food/drinks from the beach to the restaurants/bars to their room at the Sunshine. We took advantage of the Westin's amenities every day and they are a big part of the great value that is the Sunshine Suites. 7 Mile Beach continues to be one of the gems of the Caribbean. It remains one of the most beautiful in the world to enjoy walking, swimming (often with fish around you), snorkeling and, as I did every evening, standing in the water with a CayBrew Ironshore Bock beer in my hand watching the beautiful sunsets. To Jessica Kozaily, the GM, and her whole team, thanks again for delivering a terrific experience. And, as always, we hope to return sooner than later for an 8th stay!
