Fantastic location just a few blocks from the beach and the International Market. Friendly and helpful front desk staff. Booked the 1 bedroom w/full kitchen and it had a huge lanai! The rooftop pool and hottub are a nice alternative to the beach.

Quite shocked at the good reviews this hotel got. I guess people are not bothered by dirt to give such high reviews? Where to start… bathroom smells like pee constantly. Looked around the toilet and noticed they only superficially clean the toilet bowl but not around the toilet. There’s caked up pee or something on the side/bottom of the toilet bowl that smells atrocious (see pictures). Shower is moldy and does not drain properly. By the time you’re done showering the water is standing to your ankles. The walls, curtains, chairs are all disgustingly dirty. No one washes these. The patio windows have not been washed for months. The front door was our first clue this would be a dirty room/hotel. There is dirt, finger prints, looks like food all over the front door as you enter the room. As the saying goes… “the front door to a restaurant (in this case room) tells you a lot about how clean the place will be.” Okkk, next, the dirty room was bad enough, but, the windows are made of paper. You hear everything and I mean everything thru these windows. The worst part is when you’re trying to sleep at night. You hear cars, trucks, loud music, constant car horns, people talking, people screaming, yelling, loud bangs, cars with loud music blasting, the wind blowing, garbage trucks banging very early morning hours, it’s impossible to sleep. Horrible! Very very disappointing experience. You people have a lot of work to do! This place is a mess!

We love the location, the atmosphere is a lot of big city noise and the rooms are getting a little run down. The value is great, the rooms are clean the noise level is off the charts at night. Trash trucks picking up trash in early mornings. The staff is friendly and helpful.

Pacific Monarch is in a perfect, central location within walking distance to everything in Waikiki, and easy public transit is nearby to Honolulu, Diamond Head and the waterfalls. You don't need a car staying here. The kitchen in the suite was awesome! We shopped for our family and didn't need to spend money on takeout or waste time sitting in breakfast cafes. The hot tub is the perfect temperature, the balcony dried out our wet things nicely, and the suite itself was big enough for four adults to sleep comfortably. The corner rooms have the biggest balconies. There is a smoking area tucked away outside where smokers won't bother anyone. This hotel was perfect for our budget and all our family's needs. Just make sure to get a room above the twelfth floor if you want to have a view of the beach, otherwise, you'll have to take in the view from the rooftop pool and BBQs. BBQs close at 8:30, pool and hot tub at 10:30.. You can easily walk to Queens Beach, where we saw the biggest fish and a sea turtle while snorkeling. The W bus to and from the airport stops two blocks up and only takes about a half hour each way. Easy!

Amazing views from 27th floor apartment - would highly recommend. Spacious and comfortably apartment with all amenities.
