We had a midnight checkout so the use of the hospitality suite, rooftop pool & shower was so convenient. We were able to checkout at midday & have a final swim at Waikiki beach. Staff were obliging in storing luggage, providing towels so we could swim in the pool & shower before we left for the airport. Hotel is centrally located in Waikiki. Overall the Hotel is dated, but the location, late checkout & use of the hospitality suite made this a great stay.

I had booked a queen size bed but was given two of the narrowest beds I have ever seen. Totally not acceptable. Everything about the room was outdated, the carpet was completely worn out, and thread bare in from of the windows. A poorly executed attempt to cover the worn carpet with a mat didn't quite cover the defect. It looked like the door had been kicked in several times, and the repairs to the security latch look as though some calling was poorly used to disguise the damage. The place was poorly painted, walls had lots of drywall defects. It was clear, the room and it's contents were well past it's "best before date" and in dire need of a renovation. The parking garage was a nightmare, the stalls barely big enough to hold a small car. Passageways in the garage barely allowed one way traffic - it's impossible to pass a vehicle coming the other way. All that for $35/day. I'd be hard pressed to recommend the Pacific Monarch under any circumstances. Look elsewhere.

absolutely fantastic location. perfect for a family vacation. walkable to everything and a great home base. but the highlight for us was Christieanne! she works the front desk and is the most personable hostess I have ever had the pleasure to deal with. Her manner and professionalism are unmatched and nothing is a problem when dealing with her. she literally enhanced our family vacation! shout out to Christieanne!

Great location, quick walk to Waikiki beach and shops. Unfortunately the power outlets provided on their lamps didn't work, had to use the wall power outlets. Also, if parking your own car in the structure, be prevalent of the "RESERVED PARKING" and "ELECTRIC VEHICLE" signs-my car got towed on my day of departure because I parked so close to the wall that I didn't see the "RESERVED PARKING" sign. The staff could've called me to move the car, they had all of my contact info and the make and model of my car. Completely unprofessional and unfair for an honest overlook.

I have stayed at Pacific Monarch several times. Albeit the last vacation was about 10years ago. While we were there the building was going through renovations. The rooftop pool was closed although we had the option of using the pool next door at Bamboo. When we booked we didn’t know about the renovations. I missed being able to go upstairs for a swim, the rooftop pool top pool is far superior to the option of Bamboo. When we checked in the 1st room was in original condition and definitely did not match the photos on the internet or what I’d experienced in the past. We moved to another room. Unfortunately the curtains were threadbare and had holes. Definitely substandard. We moved again to a room which was of an acceptable standard. I would strongly suggest when booking ensure you’re being allocated a renovated room. We were in a 1 bedroom apartment. Having said that. Location is fabulous, one block back from the beach. Close to shops and the bus stop. The staff are friendly, polite and helpful. Cristina Hunt is amazing and was so very helpful. Pacific Monarch are lucky to have her as a team member. I would stay there again on the condition that we were staying in a renovated room.
