Our stay at the pacific monarch
OneFoodie2013 (San Francisco, California) on Dec 16, 2025
The overall location of the Pacific Monarch was very good, close to the beach and market. The view from our condo (2503) was outstanding. The condo was small, but functional. The kitchen appliances/counters, bathroom fixtures/towels and bedding were clean. Housekeeping and staff were helpful and professional. The issue we had with the condo was that the furniture and drapes were filthy. There were actual holes and stains in the drapes. The couch and chair were stained and pretty gross. We understand there is high tourist traffic and turnover, but for the cost of the condo, the owner should do a better job of maintaining the furniture and drapes.
Great location and comfortable rooms

This hotel is in an amazing location, lots of food and shopping within a very short walk. The bed was comfortable and the ocean view from our balcony was amazing. I would certainly stay here again.

Location was great, walked into lobby and was not greeted and there was 3 workers STANDING AROUND, was not warned that there was no hall lights, difficult finding room, pitch black. Other than that stay was great
Fantastic stay in Waikiki at unit #3207 Pacific Monarch Hotel

My wife and I stayed in unit #3207 at the Pacific Monarch hotel in Waikiki for 3 weeks. We have stayed in Waikiki many times before so I feel confident regarding my assessment of the hotel and the unit we stayed in. First off the Pacific Monarch is ideally located in Waikiki. The hotel is close to the beach (5 minute walk) there is easy access to the main street of Waikiki (Kalakaua) with plenty of restaurants, bars and shops. The hotel has a lovely, recently renovated rooftop pool and hot tub area along with various other amenities including barbecues. The hotel is clean and well maintained. The elevators are currently being upgraded. The front desk staff are friendly and helpful if you have questions during your stay. Our unit #3207 was great. The unit had a large patio area with a fantastic view of the ocean! The unit had everything that was needed including beach chairs, umbrella and other miscellaneous items for the beach. Being on the top floor we had easy access to the rooftop pool area which meant we didn’t have to wait for the elevator. The property agent we booked with Lani Paet,of Hawaii Noa Properties , was great. In the couple of times that we called Lani she responded promptly and resolved our issues. Overall we had a fantastic 3 weeks and look forward to being back on the beach in Hawaii soon!
Room needs upgrading

Location was excellent, a very short walk to the beach. Partial ocean view was nice from the one bedroom suite. However be careful of which room you get. We were in room 702 and it was sadly in need of an upgrade. There were holes in all the curtains, not just a few but many. The advertising said high speed internet, it was terribly slow, could not use to facetime our daughter in New York. The hotel might as well not advertise as having it. We discovered the next morning after check-in that the bedroom had wet carpet. This was beside the sliding door that went out onto the lanai. We mentioned it to a maintenance man but nothing was done. It kept getting wetter by the day. I am sure if you are given an upgraded room you will be very comfortable unfortunately we didn't feel comfortable. We did appreciate the early check-in, staff were very pleasant. Also the hotel website advertises a lounge for guests to relax in if they are to early for check-in. It says there is a kitchenette. I was imagining you could actually make a coffee or a tea there and relax for an hour or so, but not the case.
