If you are looking for nightly entertainment this place is good for you. On the other hand, if you are looking for a place to relax and have a quiet peaceful night, I would not recommend it.

My 7-day yoga teaching vacation at Sunscape Dorado Pacifico Ixtapa was outstanding! Victor, and the entire Entertainment Sports Team, along with Mahela, Edgar, Raul, and Naydelin, provided top-notch service that made for a wonderful and memorable experience! Our initial welcome from the bell staff, front desk, and Victor set the tone. We were made to feel at home immediately. Our room was impeccably clean, with an outstanding view. All of the restaurants provided excellent menu selections and hospitable service. There was always something fun to do: cooking demos, tequila tasting, karaoke, chilling on beachside hammocks, and going parasailing for the first time! It felt like home and I wish we could’ve stayed longer. A beautiful sense of community and belonging was sustained throughout our entire stay. I can’t wait to come back!
Uhhh, NO

We arrived, two couples on a day pass booked through Resortpass. Checking in was tedious as they wanted us to email them confirmations, asked our ages ( youngest is 52, oldest 67.) Odd system to say the least. Appearance wise the resort looked fine. Service was good all over. Food was putrid and in most cases inedible. Drinks were a joke as well, my wife had 9 Mimosas with zero affect. We all had the same response and find it hard to believe any alcohol was in those drinks. It's an absolute skip and recommend you look anywhere else!
Do yourself a favor and don’t.

Don’t. Just don’t. The food and drinks are awful. The pool was too hot to cool us down. The only respite from the heat was the kids section but no parents allowed in. We had to flush our toilet by filling ice buckets with water and dumping it in the tank. The place sells day passes so good luck getting a spot outside even with club level access. The premium club level gives you access to a private dining area. However the menu is so limiting. Only about 8 items available on the menu or so. They advertise certain restaurants that are don’t actually exist or are only open 1 day a week. We wanted to leave the next day but didn’t want to pay for another hotel or new plane tickets out of there. Save yourself the trouble.
