Unit #704, overall very good

We had a two-bedroom ocean view and it worked out great. Our kids had their own space, my wife and I had our own space, and the living area had a pullout, a recliner, and table so it was large enough for all of us to hang out and not be on top of each other. The view was great as well. While the unit was a little dated, it looked and felt clean--there was not musty smell that some other reviews mention. Our only issue is the kitchen was the least equipped of any place we've stayed. Basic cooking equipment was not stocked. No salt or pepper, one small spatula, one small skillet, no baking pans, etc. It's nice the unit had a full kitchen, but we really had to improvise. The resort's two pools were nice because the one closest to the beach was not crowded. From that pool, you can walk up to the bar at the restaurant and grab a drink. The resort grounds were nice and well-maintained. The location is great! The food truck park is a short walk around the corner; the supermarket a short walk across the street; urgent care (unfortunately we had to visit it) is a short walk across the street; and, Duke's is a short walk down the beach. The beach at the resort is fairly narrow and there are rocks here and there in the water, but better beaches are a short walk away. Parking was easy, whether it was in the lot or in the garage. It would be nice to have luggage carts at the entrances to help with getting groceries to the units, but not a big deal.
Great resort with access to everything local.

It is a great hotel and a beautiful place to stay. The rooms are big and have a great view of the courtyard. The staff is wonderful. If you are comparing resorts and prices, you do need to factor in the age of any renovations. The 2 rooms we had were damp and musty-smelling. Maybe time for some new carpet and a deodorizing of the air conditioning system.
Can't think of a better way to enjoy Thanksgiving.

Kaanapali Shores is our favorite forever...We have continued to bring more people with us every time we stay here. It is now there favorite resort too. The Williams. family has stayed with our family now for the past 6 times. Also it was your staff that recommended the ABC for our holiday dinner. We ordered prior to coming, The food was hot and ready to eat. Landing on the holiday makes it hard to get all . Thank you again
Great stay in convenient location on north shore of Ka'anapali Beach.

Great location, very pleasant and helpful staff. Rooms were clean and quiet. Pools and outside amenties were fine. On-site restaurant was just OK. Walking distance to groceries, coffee and other conveniences. Beach is a bit narrow especially at high tide. Also like many beaches in Maui - really need reef shoes to protect feet in the ocean. The inside room decor is a bit dated but did not show excessive wear. Parking fee is $11.95 per day for guests. Concierge desk very helpful. We selected large 2BR 2Bath Penthouse with wrap around lanai right on the ocean as such view was spectacular.
Nice for families

This is great hotel complex! Fun for the family. The pool is very kid friendly with lots of seating room for families. They were very generous with towels and coffee etc. I think all rooms have a kitchenette which is very nice if you want to cook while you’re there. The rooms are a little dated but clean. It’s close to shopping and some cool dining experiences. There is a Robot Pizza across the road which a cool and good experience for some cheap but good eats. There is a cinnamon bun place about 10 mins walking distance with a nice place for kids to play at the beach also.
