Sorry but our stay was far below acceptable, especially for the thousands we spent for the opportunity to stay at the Aston Whaler. We learned that unit number 619 is managed by some management company that does not manage the majority of the condos at the Aston Whaler, a critical fact that was never disclosed to our travel agent. As a result, no one on site at the Aston Whaler could address any of our complaints. All of our requests were forwarded to someone off site, and we could never get a name or number to call ourselves. I requested a 2-bedroom condo like what our family enjoyed in 2019. When we arrived, however, we learned that there was no 2-bedroom unit available. We were sent to a 1- bedroom unit with a pull out. After numerous calls and 2 visits to the front desk, a representative of the off-site management company arrived at around 9:00 p.m. with a cot that was easily 20 years old, and entirely uncomfortable. The office wants to charge me $25 dollars per night for the cot. We had cleaning service on just 1-day, our third day there, despite paying for that service for the entire week. No clean towels. We bought our own and washed them in the washer that came with the room. The mattress on the pull out couch was something out of the Shawshank. I joke now but I assure you, last week, all we wanted was to go somewhere else. Sorry to say this but Maui is not really equipped to handle tourism in the way like it used to before the fire 3 years ago. My travel agent suggested that people are staying on the island for shorter periods of time but spending more money. I don't doubt it. I suspect that once travelers arrive and learn about what's going on now, they want to cut their vacation short. I strongly urge anyone planning a vacay at the Aston Whaler to confirm which company is managing the unit where they expect to stay and vacation. Otherwise, you're going to end up with an expensive room without any clean towels and no cleaning service.

No basic amenities. No hot water in bathroom for days during our entire stay, no drinking water provided. Poor management. Worst experience.

Our unit was an ocean view condo as requested and did not disappoint! There is a wraparound balcony from the dining room around to the master bedroom. I was there most mornings drinking my coffee, watching parasailers fly high and the boats/catamarans coming in and out. The unit was clean; the kitchen had plates, glasses, mugs, silverware, cookware, coffee pot and toaster. Bathrooms were fine (smaller one the fan worked infrequently). Another family member was in the huge master but had no complaints about her space. Beds were comfy. Had to ask for an extra blanket and coffee packets which were delivered promptly. There was only one surge protector with USB ports and that was in the living room with the TV. Would have appreciated at least one in the smaller bedroom (I don’t know about the master). Overall our stay at Aston at the Whaler was better than we expected and a good value for the price.

What a beautiful clean place with a gorgeous view! The views were never ending, the beach was steps away, and all the good restaurants and activities were close by.
