As I write this review I am wide awake and pretty unhappy with this hotel. I was awoken by persistent knocking on my door by people who identified themselves as Las Vegas Metro Police, accompanied by hotel security. They demanded that I open the door and talk to them about an ‘incident’ that occurred earlier. Upon opening the door, they stated that they were informed that there was a little girl in my room with me, and demanded to see written proof that I am her father. They were right! She is my daughter, she is six, and I am sixty-six. It was my birthday yesterday, and I brought my child here for one day to see what Cirque du Soleil calls a ‘family night’ presentation of Mystere. I booked this reservation back in June for my birthday night, looking for what was described as a ‘family friendly’ hotel. This is how Fontainebleau honored me on my birthday. They SWATted me. They called the police on me to investigate the crime of staying at this family-friendly hotel with my daughter. I was angry enough to go downstairs to speak to a manager. What I discovered was alarming. It turns out that this hotel’s brilliant security team monitors your every movement throughout this hotel via camera, and that they apparently have nothing better to do than roust paying guests out of bed in the middle of the night demanding to see proof of paternity and birth certificate. Here’s the kicker: I carry both of those documents with me whenever we travel. I also carry my six year old’s US Passport. If this seems like an abundance of caution, here’s why: My own child’s mother suddenly denied I was her father in the middle of domestic relations proceedings in court. I didn’t see my kid for 15 months. It was the darkest period of my life. I carry the trauma of that experience with me to this day. It was the worst thing that has ever happened to me. To have this hotel send the police to my room in dark of night to pound on my door and demand I prove that paternity all over again was like opening that wound and rubbing salt in it. Happy Birthday to me. Thanks, Fontainebleau, I hope you’re happy with your high tech security toys. You caught the bad guy celebrating his birthday with his kid.

Location is too far away from other attractions that were there. Prices for food were high and and poor breakfast choices

This was the most beautiful hotel we have ever stayed at! It was spotless! The service was impeccable! The pool was outstanding! Every person who worked there was so kind and professional! We would come back to Vegas just to stay at the FountainBleu and not leave for 3 days! We were so impressed!

The Fontainebleau Las Vegas was first imagined in 2005, with the goal of bringing the iconic Miami Beach brand to the Las Vegas Strip. Construction began in 2007, but faced setbacks including the Great Recession and later the COVID-19 pandemic. Knowing its history, I was eager to experience a guest stay. Booking & Check-in:: I booked my room through a travel aggregation website. Upon arrival, the front desk quickly found my reservation. The check-in process was smooth and hassle-free. The clerk was both friendly and helpful. The main lobby is cavernous, with decor that's simple yet elegant. It creates an impression. Room Quality:: The Fontainebleau Las Vegas opened in 2023; but the room's furniture was well-kept, and free from excessive wear that might hint at heavy use. The carpet looked fresh, with no stains or tears in sight. Regarding the bed, the sheets were crisp and bright white. The mattress, pillows and duvet were comfortable. Bathrooms often show the most wear and tear, but this one was pristine. It was spacious. The layout was well-arranged. The towels looked like new, with a heavy pile and a crisp, bright white color. Sometimes when I travel, I like a room that's comfortable, but not so luxurious it makes me want to stay in all day. Other times, I want a inviting space to relax in, and the rooms here fit that bill perfectly. I found the décor, color palette, and furnishings appealing. I also think many hotel rooms lack sufficient lighting, but here there's plenty of it, along with the option to adjust it to your liking. Common Space:: Although I didn't use them myself, I was surprised to learn while walking the grounds that there are seven swimming pools on the premises. I did, however, enjoy some of the gaming options on site, as well as several of the restaurants.

The restaurants were great! The hotel room suite : it was an expensive suite had problems with the phone system and it only had one very small window for a very large room disappointing dark and dingy
