TOTAL WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY!!
Cori M on Oct 23, 2024
100% false advertising, do not go to this luau! We wasted $600.00 for a”luau” that was in doors with cold horrible food. I felt bad for the 7 or so performers putting on this show. This show is a scam!! I’ve been to a few luau’s and this is not one. I wish I could give a 0! DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME or MONEY!!
STUCK IN KAUAI . Reservation canceled by HIKTON!
Christie K (Aliso Viejo, California) on Oct 22, 2024
This review is not so much about the hotel but more on the administrative side specifically RESERVATIONS. We booked a room here since May 2024. Our stay was booked Oct 21 to 25, 2024. We booked with a live person and not on line. Long story short, when we arrived we were told our reservation was cancelled. Shock and upset, we called the reservation and we were told that I did not confirm our reservation (which was already partially paid). It didn’t make sense to me why I have to confirm a CONFIRMATION. Plus the fact that if they did cancel it, why didn’t they send me a CANCELLATION NOTICE? That should be the right thing to do. Or leave me a message that if I don’t confirm that my reservation will be canceled. They did try to accommodate us by offering us to stay in KONA. I asked if they can pay for our flight and of course, they are not going to do that. The first representative ended up hanging up or disconnecting our call and we called again and spoke with another representative. After telling her our issue, there was no accommodation she could offer us. She did extend the reservation to be available for use til next year, DEC , 2025. Needless to say, we were STUCK in KAUAI with no place to stay and this is at 3 pm, Hawaii time.
Love Hilton Garden Inn

Hilton for the stay! This is my favorite place to stay on Kauai, the Hilton Garden Inn. The staff and facility are amazing, very friendly and helpful. You can walk to the beach and walk for miles on the beach. Great central location. So many fun things to do in Kauai.
DO NOT STAY HERE

After traveling all day to get here we get checked into our room only to find it not even cleaned. Bed was messy like someone just got done sleeping in it. They switched us to another room which was handicap accessible but the shower head mount was broken so you had to hold the head the entire time. You pay a 25.00 daily resort fee which includes 2 water bottles daily. We stayed 8 days and never received any. We got housekeeping three days out of eight. The pool was closed for two days as they were cleaning it. I can only assume someone complained as it looked like a swamp. They only had 6 lounge chairs all of which were stained and in need of replacement. The pictures make it seem as ya right on the beach which it is not. The beach access is a community park full of people. The waitress at the Tiki bar was a complete biotch and should be fired. We had her three times and she got worse every time we got her. The photos also make it look like you have a balcony but it just a window you can slide open. The ac unit in the room was noisy and sounded like it wanted to blow up. The coy pond was so full of scum I’m not sure how anything could survive in it. One of the women at the events counter was also a biotch that clearly hates her job. I stay at Hilton often on holiday but this place should never be called a Hilton. Very disappointed with my stay and would recommend you book elsewhere.
Pass on this property.

First let me state the front desk staff, and restaurant staff were exceptional. The room was another story cockroaches, centipedes and musty old carpeting. After one night, we spoke with front desk who told us we couldn’t be moved as the hotel was over booked. We had used Hilton points and were told points would be refunded. Points can normally be refunded in a relative short time. The story changed with the hotel each time we made contact. “No problem we’ve submitted points” “It takes 30 days” “It takes 30 business days” On the fourth call to the Hilton Diamond line (no fault of Hilton Diamond staff) we received our points in mid October within minutes. They say (or hear they might be) doing some improvements later this year… Be weary.
