Excellent service at Hyatt

tazamani (tazamani) on Jun 12, 2024

Went here to celebrate our 33 years anniversary, this is a great resort with beautiful landscaping! Rooms are spacious and clean with very comfortable beds. Everyone is very friendly! Lorena at the front desk was very nice and I truly appreciate her willingness to go above and beyond to make our stay a pleasant one and I will never forget her kindness. She even got us an anniversary card signed by the staff along with complimentary 2 glasses of wine that truly made us very happy. What a great personal touch! Thank you so much Lorena! Hope her dedication and her willingness to excellent customer service don’t go unnoticed! Highly recommend this resort.

No microwave in my room

tagreene (Shelton, Washington) on Jun 11, 2024

It was a nice place, but there were no microwaves in the rooms. I thought maybe it was just me, but I went for a convention and the other attendees did not have microwaves either. Honestly, everything about the hotel was very nice but I'm flabbergasted about how they could not have microwaves. It feels scammy. Like, you have to order room service because you don't have the means to heat re-hear leftovers or have convenience meals on hand. For that reason and that reason alone I would not stay there again.

You will not be disappointed. The rooms are clean and spacious. Great housekeeping crew. Awesome valet team. And close to shopping and entertainment.

Great location and excellent service!

Stayed here for the Newport Beach Jazz Festival held on the property. Everything was well organized for the increased amount of guests staying at the hotel. Our room was a substantial walking distance from the concerts, but considering they accommodated our last minute reservation request, it didn't bother us at all (better than driving in). Our room was well appointed with 2 doubles, a coffee machine, and a partial view of the back bay. The bed was a little firm for my liking, but I didn't lose sleep over it. The SHOR Restaurant had a special menu for the event, and the dishes were tasty. We especially liked the special drinks they had for the festival (Jazzy Nights was one of them). We'll be back next year!

Way too many fees

I13JAmarym (Palm Desert, California) on Jun 08, 2024

Newport Beach is expensive and hotels are expensive without feeling any need to be "special" for the cost. There was an additional service fee for having food in the bar. There was a service fee for breakfast. There was a $40.00 self parking fee, in addition to the resort fee. The city of Newport Beach levied multiple fees- including one they could not explain. Since I had prepaid for the room months ago, the total at checkout was $198.00. The fees were $98. I
