I never got to experience the hotel as my prepaid reservation was not honored

After pre-paying and pre-booking I arrived to be told I did not want to stay there because of spring break college kids noise. Then they told me the air conditioner was not working in some units. And then they told me they just had no rooms. So they sent me to another hotel after I protested.
Very disappointing experience – overbooked and relocated with no notice

We booked our stay 6–8 months in advance, so it was extremely frustrating to arrive and be told the hotel did not have a room for us. We were moved to a different property with no prior notice. Although they offered a $300 credit, the situation was handled poorly. We were given multiple conflicting explanations (spring breakers, damaged rooms, no AC), and it was presented as if relocating was our choice—but in reality, they were overbooked and had no room available. To make matters worse, while we were trying to figure out logistics, staff attempted to sell us a timeshare presentation with “free” incentives. This was not the welcome we expected. This situation also caused additional costs. One of our tour operators, Cabo Adventures, could not accommodate the hotel change, so we had to pay extra to get to their marina location. On a positive note, our stay at Kadun Boutique Hotel was great. However, the lack of communication and transparency from the original hotel overshadowed the experience. If they had notified us even a few days in advance, we could have adjusted our plans. Instead, we found out upon arrival—which is unacceptable. We also learned this happened to several other guests. Because of this experience, I would not stay at this resort group again. Next time, I would choose alternatives like Tesoro Los Cabos, Bahia Hotel & Beach House, or stay in San José del Cabo.
