Very Disappointed

klewis0906 (Los Angeles) on Aug 08, 2022

I read every review. Watched all the YouTubers reviews and still got bamboozled. I admit that the reviews seemed to be 50/50 so I was just hoping for the best. The resort itself is beautiful. Its not over crowded with people. So if you're ok with mediocre food and weird tasting liquor, this is the place for you. FOOD: The best thing is the Pizza. They will burger and pizza you to death! We were never able to get into the Japanese restaurant. It was always booked. We complained and they got us a 6:30pm reservation, but then we would have had to cut our day in town short. If you are a pescatarian, forget it. There weren't many seafood options. No shrimp tacos. No shrimp ceviche. I'm a foodie. I found their food options lacking. They need to invest in a "true" chef. Entertainment: They had entertainment ... I've seen better. The young lady that does the water aerobics in the afternoon is alot of fun!! DRINKS: I got tired of the weird drinks, so I ordered Bombay gin straight. That was NOT Bombay gin. I stuck with the champagne. But unfortunately it was always hot. ROOMS: The rooms were nice. The view was beautiful. The balcony is super small. Breakfast room service was decent. We didn't get the pastries delivered in the cubby hole like you see in the reviews. OVERALL: This was definitely not worth the price of admission. PS... dont try to walk on the beach, that sand is like glass. Its a tough walk. We didnt make it very far.
