Wonderful holiday

Had a great stay at the Hideaway Royalton Negril. The stay was made all the better by the wonderful staff, too many to mention them all, but special thanks to Mel and George our butler’s and Michael at the Hideaway bar. Food and location fantastic, the only slightly negative point was some parts of the infrastructure was slightly dated and needs a bit of TLC but nothing to detract from a great holiday. Many apologies to the wonderful staff not named personally, but you were all great ??????

Our Favourite So Far!

We stayed at the Hideaway at Royalton Negril April 7-17/2025. It was 10 days of pure bliss! Check in - We arrived at the hotel and were quickly transported to the Diamond Club to check in. We met one of our butlers and he gave us a quick overview, helped us find food (it was late) and then let us rest after a long 2 days of travel to get there. The rooms - Very clean (I am picky), a slight musty smell, but I have never visited a resort by the water that did not have that. This was nothing to complain about! open the patio doors and let the sea smell in, it is glorious here! The views from the Diamond Club building were stunning. The sunrises, spectacular! The beds were very comfortable. Lighting was very good, more than adequate for makeup etc. The bath was so comfortable and relaxing. The shower was very big and included very good body wash, shampoo and conditioner. (I have long hair and ran out of what I brought, no worries the resort stuff was great!) Lots of space to hang clothing/put items away (I pack a lot more than I ever need and there was plenty of room). The balcony had plenty of room to be comfortable and enjoy the view. The mini fridge has what you need, if not just ask they will bring it to you. The toilet is in its own private room, yes you can close the door if needed. Beach - We loved the private very small beach that we had to ourselves most days. We snorkeled right from there, the Diamond club lounge was very close for bathroom breaks and afternoon snacks. The beach service was great, we never had empty drinks. We also used the hideaway beach which was very nice, but preferred the quiet of the smaller beach. The water here is perfect. Warm (so very comfortable to relax), clear and so relaxing to float the day. Most days the water was incredibly clear and fantastic for snorkeling, we had a few days that were a bit breezy and it did stir things up a bit and make it less clear. No complaints here about the beach! loved every minute of it. Pool - Hideaway pool was great! Shade if you wanted, sun if you wanted. Some days there were no loungers to use - many taken with towels and no one there, but not a big deal there is always somewhere to put your things. Just get in the pool and enjoy. Bartenders were fantastic. Good vibe. Entertainment if you wanted to participate and a quieter end if you preferred that. The pool was NOT cold. I am a baby when it comes to cold water and the pool temp was perfect each day. Cool enough to refresh and warm enough that you did not feel cold even later in the day when it started to cool off. Room service - We very much enjoyed room service, especially breakfast. The food usually arrived sooner than expected, hot and very good. Great friendly service and steaming hot coffee to watch the sun rise each morning. Restaurants - We loved the one on the point, breakfast and dinners were wonderful and beautiful. Dorado was fantastic, Hunter steak was very good, Gratzie we had breakfast and dinner and enjoyed both multiple times. We tried all food options and all were good, everyone has their favourites and those listed above were our top picks. Coffee/Gelato shop - amazing specialty coffee! Worth the wait on busy days. We were always up early so we didn't wait. A bit of a wait if we went in the afternoon. Staff - we found nearly all staff extremely helpful, happy and friendly. Butlers - We can not say enough about our amazing Butlers George and Shaneka!! The best we have ever had at any resort, and by far the best at any Royalton we have visited. They made days care free as they took care of everything we needed without ever making us feel bad for asking or having to wait long periods of time to have requests met. They were on it right away! That being said, all the Butlers at Diamond Club are so caring and helpful, if a Butler that was not yours sensed you needed something, they asked to help and insisted they take care of it right away for you. Exceptional service from all. Diamond Club Staff - House Keeping Alison was fantastic! Everything was spotlessly cleaned and arranged each time she attended our room. Front Desk/Lounge Taneka (I think that is how she spelled it) was top notch every day. She made each day special and we looked forward to seeing her each morning. The grounds of this resort are very well cared for, beautiful. You will see them working hard every day to keep things looking picture perfect. I saw a total of 2 mosquitoes during our entire visit. 1 was the evening we arrived and 1 on our last evening there. No bugs in the rooms. No bugs on the beach. We brought bug spray, did not take it out once. (My husband is a mosquito magnet and he only saw the one on the last night there) The weather - The forecast called for rain every single day we were there. We had incredible weather with the exception of one afternoon of showers. We had light showers at first so we went to the pool. The rain got quite heavy and a bit of hail so we went back to the room. It was actually nice to cool down from a hot morning, have a nap, take a bath and get ready for dinner. One afternoon of rain out of ten was ok with me. We are not excursion people, we have been to Jamaica many times and done all the things we want to do. But, if you need to do more there is plenty more to do right at or near the resort. Just ask, they will help you. You can also go for long walks on the beach all the way to the other side of the bay. There are markets and places to stop/eat along the way should you want that. I was getting worried about some reviews I had read before arriving, DO NOT PAY ANY ATTENTION TO THESE BAD REVIEWS. We Literally had no complaints here. (I can usually find something to squawk about, not here!) Check in, unpack, check everything out and enjoy! You will not regret it.
