This hotel is night and day compared to the sister hotel (Royalton Negril Autograph - RNA). The RNA is newer looking and the diamond club lounge is clean and really nice. The Hideaway Diamond club lounge is old and the snacks and drinks are a third of what you get in RNA. 90% of the rooms are old and beat down looking, RNA rooms are new and fresh looking. The beach is horrible, if we didn't have access to RNA we would of had no where to swim without crabs and rocks everywhere. The staff were great and the food is mostly on the RNA side anyways. We were bumped down from the Penthouse Jacuzzi terrace suite because they doubled booked us. I am still trying to get the difference back, as the room I initially booked was ALOT more then the room they gave me. Hopefully Sunwing comes through on this. Even being a TRAVELSMART VIP member I could not get a credit for the room change. The Travel smart rep was a liar and pretty useless, her name was Heather. Lied from the time we got our rooms all the way until check out. I will be contacting my TravelsmartVIP customer service about this situation. The Butler was our saving grace, Doreett! Doreett saw that we were very frustrated with how are trip started and did everything she could to change our trip and make it a lot of fun. She went the extra mile daily to keep us happy. I honestly think she is exceptional at her job and if it wasn't for her this would of been a terrible trip. If you have a choice, I would ask for Doreett as your butler. I would not recommend this resort, but I do recommend the sister resort - Royalton Negril Autograph. The food was really good and the beach on the RNA side is amazing! If you worried about seeing to many kids, book diamond club and you will see the difference.

We visited the hideaway as a family of 5 adults and we were very disappointed by what is supposed to be a relaxing adults only 5* hotel. The pool -people smoking cigarettes and marijuana around the pool with no one telling them not too -very very loud music on all day that was rave style (so loud that we couldn’t even talk to each other)- other guests in the pool permitted to use a whistle along to the music. -tiles missing -the bar had lumps of granite that had fallen off (We made TUI and management aware of this and nothing was done) The beach -man made beach but otherwise pretty -We couldn’t swim in the sea due to seeing sewage being pumped into the sea on our first day leading to a lingering odour that was present throughout our stay -Only a small cordoned off sea swimming area that you couldn’t leave due to speed boats going very close to this area- this also made kayaking/paddle boarding very dangerous The rooms - very clean - air conditioning not very effective - the whole hotel needs maintenance- there were multiple areas throughout the hotel where water was coming through the ceiling as well as electrical wires dangling down. The only solution to the water leakage were some towels and buckets that stayed in the same place throughout our stay. Food -lovely food and very attentive staff -lots of choice of restaurants offering different cuisines -amazing ocean point restaurant only for hideaway guests -buffet also had lots of options -lovely cafe with lovely staff - On the one occasion we ordered room service it was very slow and not as advertised on the menu. Overall not worth the money, more 3* than 5*.

I’m going to get the negatives out the way first. We had a swim up suite so spent most days outside our room. These would probably not have been an issue had we used the main hideaway pool more, however: The WiFi in our room was down for a day. The staff were pressure washing outside our room one day, which was very loud and annoying. The air con was faulty for one day. This was fixed on the same day. Thats it really! This review is based on our stay in the hideaway swim up room which was absolutely beautiful. Check in was easy and quick after a long day travelling. The room was spotless and cleaned every day. The minibar was stocked up with water and soft drinks daily. The twin rain shower was lovely and the bed was large and comfortable. Absolutely no complaints with the room. The pool outside our room was lovely and just the right temperature. We could swim up to the swim up bar, grab a drink then swim back to our terrace and admire the beautiful view of Bloody Bay. The staff were all friendly, especially Richard at the Hideaway pool bar and Arron, our waiter for our beachfront romantic meal. The food was really good. I can’t understand the complaining on previous reviews. The choices were good in the buffet . We only ate at Dorados and the sushi restaurant, which were both decent. The Jamaican snack bar by the main pool was really good too. Our favourite spot was Ocean View for breakfast. Amazing experience. The grounds were spotless and well maintained. The beaches were stunning. The locals do try and sell you stuff but they are polite and friendly. I’d highly recommend a walk along the beach to Office of Nature for a beer under the trees. The beach is safe and there’s a little market a bit further up. The main Royalton pool was too loud and crowded for our liking,however this review is for the Hideaway. The evening entertainment was really good and the afterparties at the Martini Bar were fun to be part of. Overall, beautiful hotel in a stunning location. Dont listen to the bad reviews.

doesn't met our expectations: - part of a huge hotel, not the expected small resort - many restaurants are shared with the main hotel - staff impersonal, smiling can make a difference - not much real Jamaican food available (once per week a Jamaican night) - small private beach smelled bad - adults only, however shampoo pool parties could happen, too noisy - the air condition machine in front of the building started at 06:15 - late departure - we needed a hospitality room, the air condition was not working, a real sweat room over all okay, but not our preferred place to be

I had an incredible stay with my husband and parents! From the moment we arrived, the staff went above and beyond to ensure our comfort. The food was simply amazing, with a variety of delicious options that pleased everyone. Our room had a stunning view and my parent's room also had a great view, and the overall atmosphere of the hotel was top tier. I mean, Michael Jackson night as well as reggae night was just brilliant! I am talking Pantomime level performance! It was the perfect blend of luxury and relaxation, and we can't wait to come back!!! Special shoutout to all the staff that helped us, and we interacted with during our stay and forgive me if I forgot any names. Abigail, Kendra, Tevin, Roland, Esroy, Antoinette, Tavia, Nashana, Michael, Star Fire, Gaysha, Jumani, Kevon, Janeel, Red and manager Maxine, who showed why GOOD leadership is so important! We are forever grateful for our wonderful time and have already been bragging to all family and friends as well as at my job!
