The bathroom in the room was very dirty, and I did not feel comfortable taking a shower because of the cleanliness issues.

The website didn’t tell you that the more than half the percent of the hotel was under construction, and the restaurants weren’t all there, and thepools were closed. They were very limited options. The spa was in a hotel room. It wasn’t a spa because that’s under construction the staff is amazing. The entertainment is incredible bartenders front desk. All very great room service was horrible. It was busy half the time. They only had a few items and it would take over an hour to get.

I thought the property was huge and beautiful - inside and outside. All staff I encountered go out of their way to be extremely friendly and helpful. The beach and pools although beautiful I prefer to swim in deep water and not on man made beach. Also guests are encouraged strongly to be privilege members and this is understandable as it is essential to the success of the property staff and brand. Thank you to all you guys at Bahia Princpe! Terrible experience. They allowed me to book my family including my 17 year old daughter on line and once we got to the place, first time in Jamaica, they didn’t allowed me to check in because she was not an adult (adults only resort). I had to rent another hotel for the night with my entire family and replan our vacation to Jamaica that same night. I asked to speak to a manager 7 times and the manager never came out they just told me “no you can’t stay here” and because it was last minute they still charged me for 2 days for “late cancellation”. Terrible experience, specially first time in the country of Jamaica, we thought everything was planned and once we arrived to Bahia Principe they pretty much told us to go kick sand and figure it out on your own while my whole family was just sitting there in the lobby they didn’t even allowed me to spend to one night that I needed to figure out my life even though they charged me for it.

Bahia Principe Runaway Bay is beautiful upon first glance. You get greeted and everyone is so helpful. My advice? Don’t stay past the weekend, they only care for your first 3 days. We were there for 9 days and only received true service on the weekends. We requested a wake up call for one of our excursions. I requested it through the app, on the phone with concierge, and at the front desk. Did we get a wake up call? Nope. What was their answer when told this…”Well what would you like us to do?” And “Did you not call concierge?” We went on that excursion and did not come back to the room for 12 hours. When we returned our room hadn’t been cleaned. I called concierge and they said that was weird. Then the cleaning lady comes and says “Oh yeah, I told them not to clean your room.” Why??? Then asks “What would you like done?” Uhm… the room cleaned?? We told her that we would wait on the balcony and she literally slammed the sliding door shut and pulled the curtains. She didn’t tell us she left, she just SLAMMED the door and put the do not disturb sign on the door… effectively locking us on the balcony bc there isn’t a handle on the balcony side of the door. We did schedule a beautiful sunset beach dinner that was DELICIOUS! The only downfall was that all the photos that they took of us were blurry. Not a single one came out from the entire night and when we asked if we could rectify this we were told we could pay for the dinner again or get a photo package… needless to say we didn’t get those photos. Forget trying to actually use the app or call concierge during the week. The app won’t work and they won’t answer. There were a few bright spots in this entire stay that deserve to be mentioned; Marcella (Spa): was actually so kind and worked within our budget to make it an even better experience, Takieya (Guest Experience): encouraged my fiancè to set up a sunset beach dinner that was awesome and also helped us with extra problems, Raheem (Bartender): genuinely such a kindhearted and attentive man! After our first night he remembered us and just took care of us, Michado (Bartender): An extremely talented bartender! He’s hilarious and will always go out of his way to make sure you get what you want and need. Truly by the end he was like family to us, and last but not least TORI ANN (Entertainment): Not only can this girl dance and bring joy, she is truly just an all around amazing person with such a kind soul. All of these people made it so we were actually willing to stay here our whole stay. Tori Ann alone made our whole trip feel like we were home. She was so kind and accepting and went out of her way to just be nice and include us. The stay would have probably been 1 star if not less without them.
