Rather than type up a seperate review, I have copied and pasted the email I sent to this hotel / resport on our return to the UK. "After we had booked, we read some mixed reviews which left us rather apprehensive about our upcoming holiday......we had no need to be concerned!! My Fiancee and I stayed at the Bahia Principe Luxury Runaway Bay from 21st April to 5th May 2024. We have stayed in various 4* and 5* resorts over the years and have to say, this is the best overall 5* luxury hotel we have experienced! From the second we arrived and were greeted at reception to checking out two weeks later, we had the best vacation ever. The rooms are spacious, clean and very well equip. The daily stocked mini bar was fantastic and the 24 hours room service was just incredible. We paid the additional supplement for an Oceanfront Room and although they didn't have the corner room we wanted available on our arrival, reception arranged for us to be moved once a corner room became available a few days into our vacation. We booked a couples massage at the spa which was outstanding, very relaxing. We also booked the sunset romantic meal on the beach. We arranged this on the second last night of our vacation and it was amazing. Service, food, views....it was a truly exceptional experience and one I would highly recommend. The daytime entertainment program was broad and varied ensuring we were never at a loss for something to do or get involved in. The evening entertainment was much more low key within the Luxury area but was more upbeat over in the Grand (live bands, karaoke etc). The low key evening entertainment was perfectly suited for us however, we did enjoy a few nights over at the Grand taking in the shows and karaoke. All staff we encountered throughout our stay were impeccably presented, friendly, courteous, very helpful and extremely professional. Overall, this was an absolutely flawless vacation and we will be recommending the resort to friends and family as well as returning in the near future. As previously stated, all staff were outstanding however, I do wish to name a few that truly went over and above to help make this the vacation of a lifetime! I would not recommend this resort. The rooms are not well maintained. The buffet food was cold and just not overall great. The pool hours are too short. And it is almost impossible to get dinner reservation. We were only able to get reservations for two of the restaurants and the Brazilian Steakhouse was awful, which is probably why it was so easy to get into.

Was very weary after reading some of the reviews, but this hotel was lovely. Some incredible staff, amazing food and great entertainment. The staff at the kids club are fantastic too. Slight issue upon arrival with the lady on reception not being very helpful when we had requested two double beds and was told there was only rooms with one king size available despite specially requesting two doubles upon booking (I was travelling as a single parent with my son and mom who needed her own bed). Luckily the manager was very helpful and got us the room we wanted, although there was a very LOUd group of drunks every night in the room next door. Although I must say the staff were more than willing to send security up to them, however we chose not to. Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and I wouldn’t hesitate to go back to this hotel. Ignore all the negatives and make your own mind up :-)

We had a great vacation. Only issue was difficult to secure reservations for dinner which was included in our all inclusive package. The staff was friendly. The entire hotel was spotless. There were activities all day, If you wanted to stay active. There are area to just sit back and relax. Family section was perfect. The adult section was perfect.

The food was great, the staff incredibly friendly and helpful. It was an incredible place to vacation. U could relax by the pool or party hard all day & night. Choose your experience and go with it. The only issue I had was trying to get reservations and none were available for the whole week at some ofthe restaurants u wanted only to find out they were half empty. The ones we did get into were incredible I would go again tomorrow!
