Hell in Paradise Island

Hotel was nothing short of awful. Incredibly dated and dirty. The putrid smell in the carpeted corridors I can only assume is years and years of mould the ammonia type smell is incredibly strong and although not as strong in the rooms it is still there. We were gagging walking down the corridors. Dirty sofa bed again decades old and smells mouldy. Incredibly uncomfortable and mattress so thin you can feel every spring. Air conditioning unit useless, just blows out very slightly cool air and sounds like a tractor starting so there is no way you can have it on while sleeping again decades old and all dirt in the vents. No other ventilation in the room as no windows as they are fixed shut so the room is damp and smelly. No where to hang any wet clothes / towels other than one the back of one chair but again due to no ventilation in the room they don’t dry. Thick dust on ceiling fan so when turned on chunks of dirt flying around the room and again only moves the hot damp stagnant air around. This likely being the reasons the room smells so damp. Little storage for clothes for a family of 4 so we had to just live out suitcases. Fridge you can’t even open as the double bed is over it and you cannot move the bed as it’s fixed in place. Main beds comfortable but they are only small doubles so not comfortable for two adults. The fact the room was so dated it just felt so dirty, musty and cramped. Corridors have drips coming through the ceilings with water buckets catching drips underneath We all caught a sickness bug while we were there and feel sure it’s to do with the dirty damp smelling rooms. We then could not get the smell of sick out the room as there was no window to open. Leaving the door open into the corridor just let the even worse smell from the carpeted corridor in. Without a doubt this hotel would have no guests if it weren’t for the Atlantis Access but due to the awful living conditions there I wish we had spent the extra and stayed elsewhere. Breakfast awful, very limited options. Toast was the only edible thing. Staff were mainly friendly abd trying to make the best of such a run down hotel. When we asked about air con / uncomfortable beds etc they just offered dine more blankets and said that’s how the air con is. This hotel should really be closed until they can complete a major total refurbishment.
Wonderful experience! Easy access to Atlantis.

What a hidden gem! I cannot imagine paying to stay at Atlantis when this quiet, clean, safe, friendly, and breakfast-included hotel is right next door and allows access to all the Atlantis amenities. 10/10 would stay here again. Great spot. And the pool was a fun wind down spot for the kids after busy Atlantis days. Wonderful vacation!
Yellow pass only if you stay 2+

My experience was horrible. I committed personally by phone 3 times with reception asking to get my pass for Atlantis because I was leaving 6am to the airport, they assumed me that, but when I arrived there by noon, the receptionist that spoke Spanish denied me that. We waited and waited not knowing 5pm Atlantis cannot give you any bracelet for the yellow pass they denied and by the time she said we can go ahead, she forgot to give us the yellow passes. So my 70 year old friend waited I returned and when I asked the receptionist who previously denied access, she laughed at my face with the rest of the receptionist. By the time I came back it was late to get the wristband. The facilities are old, smell mold and furniture rotte. DO NOT COME TO THIS HOTEL. My suggestion, go to Warnick all inclusive, it is worth the money. Or if you can stay downtown much better to see other areas and can take water taxi to paradise island. You should come here if you have kids, but there are other island, less people and more beautiful beaches.
Wonderful stay on Paradise Island!

Our group of 8 (4 adults and 4 teens) stayed over Easter long weekend and had a great time! We arrived late after some flight delays and the front desk staff was super welcoming and helpful in making sure we got our two rooms side by side. Rooms are dated and the beds weren't super comfy, BUT - the location and staff make this a wonderful place to stay. The rooms and grounds are super clean and have everything you need. The free breakfast was really good and stocked well each morning. The access to Atlantis was amazing each day. We packed a cooler bag with our own booze and snacks and had a great time enjoying the water park, beaches and aquariums. There is so much to do around the hotel, just be prepared to walk A LOT! We averaged over 20k steps a day. Also be prepared to spend a fortune on food. This was expected, but it was often hard to find affordable quick bites. I also don't understand why all the food places were closed by 10pm. Our first night we couldn't find anything to eat before bed after arriving late. By our last day, we actually had a better idea of places to go and eat, but since it took us all weekend to figure it out, it wasn't much help during our stay. The people of Bahamas make it such a joy to visit this island! And the Comfort Suites makes Atlantis accessible for those not willing to spend Atlantis hotel prices.

The slogan It’s better in the Bahamas is a perfect description of Comfort Suites. My wife and I along with friends had a wonderful time. The breakfast buffet was well stocked each day. The restaurant would be good enough to stand on its own. The food was outstanding and staff was on point with service. Our servers Flo and Nyko treated us like family and provided excellent service and friendship. We had so much fun. Delicious food and wonderful service is a tough combination to beat. Great value for your money is best description for our 5 day vacation. We have already considered going back in the near future.
