Overpriced. Poor service. Disappointing.

My wife and I stayed at Baha Mar in Nassau for two nights, and unfortunately our experience was extremely disappointing. The entire stay felt like we were being taken advantage of at every turn. The pricing throughout the resort is excessive even by luxury resort standards. A pool cabana was quoted at $400, a simple bottle of water cost $15, and many other small purchases added up quickly. We expect premium pricing at a high-end resort, but the level of markup here felt unreasonable and constant. The most frustrating experience involved a swim shirt purchased from one of the boutique stores on the property for $185. After a single use in the pool, the shirt became noticeably discolored. When we returned to the store to ask about an exchange or refund, the staff refused to help. The manager was particularly combative and dismissive, accusing us of being responsible for the damage and saying that chlorine caused it and that it was therefore “not their fault.” Being blamed for using a swim shirt in a pool at a resort was both surprising and frustrating. Beyond the pricing and that specific incident, the overall service throughout the resort was poor. The property seemed consistently understaffed, which meant long waits almost everywhere we went. Even more concerning was the general attitude of the staff. We repeatedly encountered rudeness, dismissiveness, and a tone that felt disrespectful. It gave the impression that guests were more of an inconvenience than the reason the resort exists. Any one of these issues on its own might have been easy to excuse. But when nearly every interaction—from prices to service to how concerns were handled—left us feeling frustrated or dismissed, it added up to a genuinely unpleasant stay. Overall, the experience left us feeling ripped off and unwelcome. Between the extreme prices, understaffing, and the poor customer service when issues arose, we cannot recommend Baha Mar. We will not be returning and would strongly encourage others to consider alternative resorts when visiting Nassau.
Good vacation, but some finer points missing

Barely escaped the Blizzard of ‘28 to get there. Overall it was a great stay, however a couple of things were very disappointing. 1) Housekeeping never go to our room one day, then had attitude when we asked for towels, coffee set-ups, etc. 2) the elevator that brings you down to the pool broke down the second day of our stay and no one could tell us when it would be repaired. 3) they give you nice water bottles in your room, but there is only 1 filling station on each floor. 4) the beach was not great 5) I requested a call to discuss and never got one. On the flip side 1) staff was for the most part very helpful 2) room was spacious, though bathroom small 3) food was good 4) gym was very nice and great equipment All and all a good time.

I have visited the property twice in the past couple of years. The first time was in May of 2024 and we returned again in April of 2025. We first met Tanaj on our first stay. He welcomed us as if we were family and wanted to make sure we were taken care of , wanted to ensure we had a great vacation for our anniversary. He eventually walked us up to our room to ensue it met our needs. When we came back the following year, he remembered us and asked us about our past anniversary and wanted to make sure we were taken care of again this time with the family. Tanaj was amazing and I highly suggest you look for him when checking in. He is extremely personal and truely cares about the customer! Thank you again Tanaj!
