There are better resorts to visit with much better service

Robert Y (Tuscaloosa, Alabama) on Mar 27, 2026

The property is beautiful, the service is horrible even for island vacations. You will not find a server or a staff member that smiles, RBF is the normal. You wait for everything whether it is to order, receive your order or wait for your check to be brought. The pool area is nice, but don’t expect to get a chair unless you pay another $200 a day minimum, everything is an additional cost.

Great property to visit!!!

G B (Fayetteville, North Carolina) on Mar 27, 2026

Excellent service and amenities. Pricey but an amazing property to enjoy Nassau…Taxi service was excellent, very reasonable fare to visit the bridge & Arawak Cay eateries.

Maybe my expectations were to high...

Turkey1966 on Mar 27, 2026

Just returned from 5 night stay at the Grand Hyatt. Pros: EVERY employee was VERY nice. Could not have been more pleased. Grounds are immaculate and very well maintained. Rooms were perfect. Cons: Food wasn't so good. We tried various restaurants (but dinner buffet was closed on the night we had planned on going). Beach wasn't so wide & chairs were pretty much packed. There's also an old pier that sits right in the view of one part of the beach. I'm not a big public pool person, but they seemed nice. Price was shocking. 2 people, all meals, some drinks. Nothing special. 5 nights was about $10,000 all in (airfare was about $700 pp). Not worth the price, not some luxerious accommodations. However, there are lots of activities for kids, i'd say under 10 (research Baha Bay which has all sorts of water features). I'd suggest Atlantis instead. Thought the beaches were nicer & food was better.

Shuang Ba and the tennis coach were the best things here

Justin E (Madison, Wisconsin) on Mar 25, 2026

Ed the tennis coach was such a friendly outgoing guy. My son loved working with him because he was able to integrate into his game thank you so much Ed for great tennis lessons! Shuang Ba was the best of all the 4 restaurants we went to eat at Baha Mar. Service and food were stellar. The bar tenders treated us well. Downsides to the resort (unrelated to tennis and Shuang Ba): Expect long wait times at the front desk. If you want regular water at restaurants be sure to tell them upfront as you're sitting, otherwise you'll get a surprise bill of $14+ per bottle for Evian. The online reservation system for restaurants was slow and clunky. And I didn't receive a confirmation email. They send a text 24 hours before the reservation but will charge you $100 if you don't show up within 15 minutes of the reservation.
