An Unforgettable Stay at Beaches Negril
Discover63502125008 (St. Johns, Florida) on Aug 15, 2026
This is our second time to Beaches Negril, fourth time to a Beaches Resort in Jamaica. That is how much we love vacationing in Jamaica, a little piece of paradise. Our stay at Beaches Negril this past July was absolutely incredible. From the moment we arrived we felt welcomed and cared for. We were met with genuine smiles and very helpful and friendly dispositions. The resort itself is beautiful with plenty of fun activities for the whole family. The beach, which is part of the 7 Mile Beach, is a beautiful crystal clear turquoise that reminds me of the beach I grew up visiting in my native country of Cuba. The food is delicious! Of all the specialty restaurants, my favorite ones were the Mexican one (with a very funny and authentic Mexican chef, wish I could remember his name) and the Peruvian one, Yaku. But what truly made this trip so special were the persons that work at the resort. The staff overall is so friendly, kind, and warm, always providing great service. So many of them made a genuine effort to get to know us. Some went really above and beyond! We specially want to recognize Anita Mullings, Shaneak, and Cameisha! These sweet and lovely ladies are amazing! They took the time to get to know my husband and I and both of our boys. Their smiles, sweet details in their care/service and kindness sets them apart from the rest. We looked forward to seeing these ladies every day at the beach. That's how much they brightened our days at the resort. Thank you Cameisha, Anita and Shaneak for the good times, the laughs, the great conversations, for teaching us about your culture, your dreams and hopes, and for helping us create unforgettable memories. We actually met Cameisha and Anita two years ago when we visited the resort for the fist time and we were amazed they remembered us so fondly. We also would like to recognize Lorenzo and Nicoy from the water sports. They both bonded with my son Jace while teaching him to water ski. They gave him great tips and in four days Jace graduated to the pro water skis and was skiing like a pro out there! In addition, the entertaiment team at Beaches Negril is wonderful. Their shows were beautiful! D & D, the dynamic duo (Dershea and I think Deli) are very enthusiastic and charismatic. They do a fabulous job in engaging the guests! We also love the Gucci Man, Mr. Dwight, for providing us with safe, family friendly and unique experiences/excursions.Thank you for everything! This is why we love Jamaica and will come back!

Beaches Negril Family Birthday Vacation
Nadine R (Boston, Massachusetts) on Aug 15, 2026
This was hands down the best all-inclusive family vacation I have ever been on. From the beach to the food to the service and how easy everything was with the kids, this vacation was exactly what I wanted a family vacation to be. THE BUTLER SERVICE The butler service was absolutely top notch and honestly one of the biggest reasons this vacation was so amazing for me. I am usually the one tasked with planning every aspect of every family vacation, and it is exhausting. I plan where we're eating, what we're doing, what time we need to be somewhere, what the kids need—the whole thing. Having butler service eliminated this completely. Our week was planned before we even arrived, and on our first night, Shanice came to our room and really took the time to get to know us and our preferences. From there, she nailed every request we made of her. While six months pregnant, she somehow managed to anticipate what we needed, take incredible care of my kids and make it possible for me to actually relax and enjoy my vacation. Shanice started the week as our butler, but by the end, she felt like family. Oran, our other butler, was also wonderful and put together an excellent birthday celebration for me. Both of them catered to my kids beautifully and made our vacation feel incredibly special. I would not ever book another Beaches vacation without butler service. It made THAT much of a difference for me. THE BEACH The beach was beautiful and the water was incredibly calm. We were there from early morning until at least 2:00 every single day. Butler service made the transition from our room to the beach seamless. Our spot was taken care of, breakfast and lunch came to us, and I could actually sit on the beach and enjoy being on vacation instead of worrying about what everyone was doing next. THE FOOD The food was delicious! Most of our breakfasts and lunches were catered and brought to us, and everything we ate was seasoned and cooked to perfection. For dinner, Stella was delicious, and Tishane provided excellent service for my birthday dinner. She was kind, funny and helped make the evening even more special. We also went to Mariachi—get the cowboy steak! It's amazing! Kimonos was our last dinner. I'm not a fan of Japanese food, but the experience was well worth the visit. My son, who is SUPER picky, tried everything and really liked it! That alone says a lot. POOLS & ENTERTAINMENT We spent most of our time at the beach and only visited the pools a couple of times. They could do a better job of cleaning the dead bugs out of the pools, but the bar service and music were perfect. The mix of reggae, calypso and Afrobeats was so, so good. Pirates Island was a HUGE hit with my kids. They wanted to go every day. We were there for Jamaican Independence Day and got to experience the beach parade with dancers, drummers and all of the Sesame Street characters. It was awesome! We also went to the evening beach party and fire show, which was beautiful. Unfortunately, this brings me to our biggest issue—the mosquitoes. There were soooooooo many mosquitoes. It was awful. I had to have been bitten more than 30 times during the week, and my kids had several bites as well. They had never experienced mosquito bites before, so that was NOT pleasant. The mosquitoes were even in our room. We've stayed at many resorts in Jamaica and have never experienced a mosquito problem like this. I really think Beaches should provide insect repellent in the rooms, especially the butler suites. At that price point, it doesn't seem like a huge ask and would make a big difference. OUR ROOM We stayed in the Tropical Oceanview Two-Bedroom Grand Butler Suite. The size was perfect. Everyone had plenty of space to spread out, and the view was incredible. However, the room itself is completely outdated. During a severe thunderstorm, water actually came through the air-conditioning and left a huge flood on the floor. That should never happen. There was also carpet in the king bedroom, which I found gross and unnecessary. It had stains, and I never saw housekeeping with a vacuum. On the positive side, I loved that housekeeping came twice a day and provided turndown service at night. There were always plenty of towels and the room always felt refreshed. But these rooms need some serious updating. As much as I loved the space and the view, the condition of the room would prevent me from booking this particular suite again. I also think sunscreen should be provided, particularly in the butler suites. We brought SEVEN cans with us! For a premium room at a Caribbean family resort, having sunscreen and insect repellent available would be a really nice touch. THE PEOPLE Our photographer, Courtney, was another highlight. From day one, his bright smile and cheerful attitude made us feel welcome. He was wonderful with my kids and even took the time to build sand castles with them. Those little things stood out because he didn't have to do them. He just genuinely seemed to enjoy interacting with our family. FINAL THOUGHTS The resort itself was incredible. It was clean, the grounds were beautiful, and it was just big enough to never feel crowded, but small enough to feel like home. Were there things that need improvement? Absolutely. The mosquito problem needs to be addressed, and the older rooms desperately need updating. But this was still the best all-inclusive family vacation we've taken. My kids had an amazing time, I had an amazing time, and for once, I wasn't spending my vacation managing everyone else's vacation. I actually got to relax and enjoy it WITH them. And that, for me, was priceless. Beaches Negril absolutely won us over. We will be back—and when we come back, we will absolutely be booking butler service again.
Best trip we have had
Lauren G (Bethpage, New York) on Aug 15, 2026
We had the absolute best trip! This was our 1st time at Beaches Negril. It was amazing. We stayed in a 1 bedroom tropical view concierge room. So one room had a king bed with a day bed that had a trundle. The other room had a day bed with a trundle and a chair that had a pull out sofa. 2 bathrooms. We are a family of 5 so there were enough beds for all of us. Pull out chair bed is not comfortable but the trundle beds were. We were in the Monteplir building. Room was clean and plenty of room. But it is the furthest building from everything. Not a huge deal since the resort is small but something to consider. It was also loud at night due to music we could hear from the resort next door. But it was always done by 10 pm so not too bad. Our room was cleaned daily with turn down service. Fridge was refilled every other day. If you want it every day just call and ask. I asked for a case of water to the room and got it with no problem. The resort is beautiful. The water is amazing. The food is ehh. It is an AI. We never expect much of the food. Nothing was awful and nothing was stand out as great. Yaku is their best restaurant in my opinion. The food was actually very good there. We all loved it, even the kids. I would skip the buffets. We were not a fan. The other restaurants are better. The beach is amazing here. The water is almost turquoise. Plenty of chairs on the beach and around the pool. We never had an issue getting chairs anywhere at any time. We did rent a cabana a few times and loved it. You get a cooler with drinks and a waiter who will get you bar drinks and lunch. We found the price reasonable. Lots of water sports that are included! We got a complimentary catamaran tour through Island Routes. I highly recommend it. They took us out for snorkeling. Saw some really cool fish. Boat has a water slide that the kids used. They took us to Rick’s Cafe and we did the cliff jumping! Food and drinks provided on board. Tour is about 3 hours. So fun. What makes this resort is the staff. They are amazing. So nice and so helpful and seem like they genuinely like each other and the guests. They enjoy talking to you. The resort is small and walkable. They said it was at capacity but you would never know it. It did not feel crowded. There were no lines for water slides or anything really. We have been to Beaches Turks and prefer Negril. It is a more chill vibe and we enjoy a less crowded atmosphere. And the staff at Turks just seemed disgruntled.
