Penthouse Butler waterfront location was very nice and oceanfront. We did find roaches in the unit. The Butler service was terrible by one of the butlers and not worth the money. We spoke to the General Manager, and it seem to go nowhere. The unit was not stocked daily with beverages or snacks. Plates used were not replaced in room. The Cabana was not set up by 10am as requested. The worst was we missed our opportunity on a certification for driving as the butler failed to communicate. We were a family of 4 with few requests and the communication was poor. We had a private car transfer, and they wanted us to leave 5 1/2 hours prior to our departure as well. The butler service did not provide information about or room and what was include, just to read the letter from management. Very disappointed, would not return to this location. Turks is a lot better, and the butler service was excellent there, not in Jamaica. We asked our butlers for ideas to go see or do; nothing was suggested. When we decided to go off property, we were instructed to bring money. Butler did not say how much the car would cost or any input. Butler was basically lazy and not knowledgeable at all of area or resort. We are also a non-smoking family and were under the understanding that guests would be smoking in smoking areas not in the cabana next to us. Butler said they were not allowed but did not address or correct the situation. Certainly not worth what we paid!
Booked again before we checked out

12/31-1/8, family of four. Two boys aged 15 and 12 TLDR- we loved it here. Rebooked before we left, upgrading to a 2bd walkout. The beach and the staff are ?chef’s kiss ?. Also my pants are tighter now and I need to go home and wring out my liver. Club mobay- we boogied right through on arrival. Definitely worth it in our opinion for that alone. The lounge on arrival was ok.. we didn’t really spend a lot of time there. Ended up getting something to go as our shuttle was ready for us. Departure lounge was a bit better. Big buffet, restrooms, and we found outlets to charge our stuff. The ride to the resort- was just my family in a van which was nice. Ride back to MBJ was a bus with a bunch of families. About 90 minutes. No biggie for us The resort- what truly makes this place amazing is the staff. 99% of the people were so kind and outgoing. Nothing felt forced either. We got the walkout king with the trundles. (Wbck) It was fine for us. Loved having the walkout! It made everything more convenient. We had kittens under our porch too. ?? It was a little tight at night with the trundle pulled out- had to be careful getting up in the middle of the night. We were in the Savannah building in room 606. Super close to everything which was a mixed bag. The beach was steps away as was the main pool and water park. We are early to bed early to rise people so it was kind of loud for us at night. The beach- OMG. Gorgeous. We had no problems getting chairs whether in the sun or the shade. Servers came and got us drinks from the bar regularly. Heavenly. There were vendors set up on property and I think they changed daily. They were also walking up and down the beach. I guess they each have a certain section that they are allowed to sell on and that also changes daily if I am not mistaken. I think we gave them all of our cash haha. Ok-the food- if you are a “foodie” this probably isn’t the place for you. Everything was fine. For us- we liked Stella (breakfast and dinner) and Yaku. We were not huge fans of Kimonos. Soy was yummy as was Mariachi. We had pretty good luck at the Mill most days. The French night was our favorite. Cafe de Paris had good crepes and coffee, the pastries were meh. YoYos was a hit… I think my kids ate their weight in frozen yogurt. Also, the food trucks were pretty good too. The Jerk Shack… outstanding. So flavorful. Activities- water sports were fun! We did the included snorkel trip twice with Papa Smurf. He found ocean critters for us to hold and pointed out flounder and Stingrays. Rick’s excursion was fun for me and the husband, but not so much for the kids. We went at sunset which was GORGEOUS, but it wasn’t a kids kinda crowd. I heard it’s better to go there with kids when it opens, but then you would miss that sunset. The boys would have liked more of an arcade- the Xbox lounge was cool for a bit, but the online stuff didn’t work there. They also would have liked more non-water activities. (It was rainy and red flags a few days) There were no kids signed up for the teen camp. We all liked that they could come and go as they pleased and eat whatever, whenever. We played a lot of Uno and euchre. The concierge did let us borrow a chess set. Oh yeah, I almost forgot. We brought two extra large suitcases filled with donations. We went to the Pack With a Purpose website and followed the needs list. I don’t think it was really updated with needs from the hurricane, so we added some extra clothing items. We left it at the front desk and they took care of it all. We meant for them to keep the suitcases but they returned them to our room. We ended up giving them to the vendors that were set up on the beach area because they said they could use them. I did see a bunch of people walking in slides and flip flops that were too small so I bet they could use those if you have extra you want to send! Listening to some of their stories… ugh. Terrifying ordeal as you can imagine. They are still without electricity, water, and building materials in lots of places.
Fantastic Concierge-Level Stay at Beaches Negril
mercutio2026 (Toronto, Canada) on Jan 08, 2026
Beaches Negril was fantastic — a truly relaxing, family-friendly resort with an amazing vibe from start to finish. We stayed Concierge Level, and it made the whole trip feel effortless: everything was smooth, personalized, and taken care of. A special shout-out to Sabrina (Concierge) — she was outstanding. Friendly, attentive, and always one step ahead, she made sure our stay was seamless and memorable. Every staff member we met was genuinely warm and welcoming, and the service consistently felt caring and professional. The food quality also impressed us — lots of variety, great flavour, and consistently well-prepared meals throughout the trip. We especially loved Yaku Peruvian Kitchen — we ate there two nights because it was that good. The food was excellent, and the staff there were incredibly friendly and attentive, making it one of the highlights of our stay.
3rd visit - Still a great time!

We are a family of 5, and this was our 3rd time visiting Beaches Negril. We obviously love this place otherwise we wouldn't have gone back again... we love the staff, the place, the beach, and the food. I do have to admit, that even though staff is incredible at constantly maintaining the place, it's definitely starting to show it's age. Some of the areas are feeling a little run down and could use a little update. One thing I found a little different this time though, was some of the staff weren't as friendly or attentive this time... a couple of times I felt even ignored which was so unusual... but PLEASE don't let this take away from the hundreds of staff that DO go above and beyond to make sure everyone's happy and taken care of. We also had to ask a staff member for the pool to be cleaned one of the days... we noticed that for a couple of days, the same band aid was floating around, and also many bugs in the pool. Otherwise we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and our family time. Delly and the entire entertainment team were PHENOMENAL as always!! ALSO, do the photoshoot - it has become a family tradition and it's such a nice souvenir to look back on year and years later - the entire team there is so great and so helpful as well! Thank you, Beaches, for more great family memories!
Our favorite Beaches Property!

We're veteran Beaches resorts guests (Diamond status), and I think Beaches Negril is my favorite Beaches resort. I say this every time we come here. The employees and guests just all seem happier in Negril -- even after a major hurricane -- and that makes for a more enjoyable experience for everyone. Special thanks to Natasha on the beach (who could not have been nicer or more helpful), Nicolette (for being delightful and taking great photos which we eagerly purchased), the AWESOME entertainment staff (who put on amazing shows at night and still managed to be so friendly when we saw them around the resort each day -- especially the saxophonist), Caveen/Queenboss and Glenroy (who trip after trip are always so helpful and encouraging and go out of their way to make us feel special whenever we see them -- we can't wait to dive with them again!), and to the Watersports Team generally (who cheerily helped us with Hobies, kayaks, SUPs, & windsurfing throughout our stay). Many thanks, much appreciation, and respect to the amazing Beaches Negril staff! We can't wait to go back!
