Not worth the money

Jaybird H (Greve, Denmark) on Sep 09, 2023

Not worth your t at all despite the great location at seven mile beach. The pool is 4*3 meters. Not cleaned and ridiculously small compared to guest. The same problem at the beach despite plenty of space at the beach, there’s no more than 4 sunshades available. Although the hotel next to it is closed, you can’t use the sun beds with shades unless paying for it. It gets worse because the hotel allows guest from its sister hotel Samsara to use the sun beds, so pretty crowded. Some came and couldn’t find any shade space sunbeds unless you wanna stay in the sun all the time. Another annoying problem is the temburu hotel next to. They play loud, and by loud I mean LOUDE enough so you can’t hear other or having a conversation. Spice it up with a horde of sellers that comes by all the time, as it’s the only hotel packed with tourists, then it just a party without any host. ?? The good is fine but way more expensive then just outside the hotel, where you can get cheaper and better authentic Jamaican food. All in all beside the beautiful beach that’s ruined by sellers and bois this hotel is way under standard of what you pay. There a lot f better and smaller hotels in same price range.

Legends Beach Resort, value for money

Tom van D (Breda, The Netherlands) on Aug 06, 2023

In terms of value for money there is not much to ‘complain’. It is what it is: a three star hotel. We were staying at one of five rooms with ‘ocean view’, which I would highly recommend. Our room was just above the restaurant and of course that gives some noise. But after 21:00 it is quite peaceful and quiet. The beach is extremely nearby. Caribbean see feels and looks quite like the Maldives and that is big compliment. The menu is kind of OK. The kitchen in the sister-hotel Samsara Cliff has the same menu but a better kitchen though. If you are looking for excellent diner and sunset I would recommend the Seven Skies. Bit pricey, but absolutely worth it. If you are looking for a drive around the island or a transfer, I would recommend Luxurious Carib Tours. Highly reliable and affordable. Don’t expect Asianlike service in this part of the world: cause everything, is gonna be alright, jah man

Legends - a great place to stay in Negril

Michelle A (Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania) on Jul 23, 2023

The hotel was awesome. I wished the staff was a bit friendlier, I was a solo female traveling, and all in all I had a great time. Room was clean, A/C was on point, room could have had a bit more lighting (only 2 small sconces). Food was good, I’m all about some local food. ?? I wished the meal times were a bit earlier/later but all in all I would highly recommend the hotel. Great location, access & shuttle to and from Samsara (the sister hotel on cliffs). I personally will be back in November and am looking forward to my stay here again.

A Day Well Spent!

235cammyc (New Castle, Barbados) on Jul 20, 2023

We went to Legends Beach Resort for an All Inclusive day pass on Saturday, July 15, 2023. The day pass was from 10am-9pm, we had lunch, dinner and could order from the all inclusive drink menu at the bar. There was a priced drink menu as well, but we had plenty to drink from the AI menu. We didn’t have a room, however, there were plenty of chairs on the beach for us to relax and hold our stuff. The beach was absolutely amazing. Trying to find some shade may be tricky, especially when you get there the time we did. We made due with our umbrellas until the some shade became available. That aside the day was absolutely amazing. The team at Legends was beyond kind and helpful. They truly went above and beyond to ensure that we had a good time and were comfortable. We had a group of six and when it came time for eating they willingly moved the tables together so that we could all sit together as the regular settings were for smaller groups. The food was absolutely delicious, one of the best we have had at any resort, well done and very flavorful, authentically Jamaican! The chefs were sooooo kind. Music during the day was low and sometimes overplayed by the other properties close by. However, there was a live band in the evening and that was truly a treat. All in all our day went well and we are really looking forward to visiting again. Thanks to the staff our experience is truly a memorable one. We do not remember all the names but we cannot go without saying big thanks to Merlene from reservations and Jennifer at Samara Front Desk for helping us to organize and the team at Legends: the security, bartenders, waiters, chefs, beach staff and band (although I think they were outsourced). Thank you all for a day well spent!

Do NOT go there under any circumstance

JasonS1999 (St. Pete Beach, Florida) on Jul 16, 2023

Review from two late 40 adults who are travelers not tourists. The bad: There is a one inch gap under the door to the rooms where the bugs can freely wonder into the room. The AC does not cool the space, to many drafts open to air. The stairs to second floor beach side are steep with no railing. I would not recommend to anyone with mobility issues. The buffet is a lunch lady servicing you type elementary school buffet. The food is authentic but limited quantity. One piece of fish is turned into three servings. You will need to plan to eat elsewhere. No bottled water. You pay for all water and there are no exceptions. Mixed drinks in small cups, no proper glassware. No wash cloths, no beach towels, shampoo or conditioner. Wi Fi is spotty. You could not work from here without an adequate hotspot. Plastic chairs are unstable. LOUD music, so loud you can’t think. No way for conversation at dinner. Two different people left and lost their money because they refused to stay at this hotel. Do NOT book with VACATION EXPRESS The good: Sheets are cotton and good for absorbing sweat from the lack of AC The bed is comfortable The pillows are 10/10 The food is not bad just usually late and single serve by staff who are bothered and limit your portion. The attitude from staff is bothered.
