Old hotel that needs renovations with tired and disgruntled employees
KaDee H on Apr 07, 2026
We sadly had a terrible experience at this hotel. We love hyatts but this one is getting very old and instead of fixing problems, they patch them and limp along allowing guests to use the rooms. There was a really bad water issue in our bathroom where water (and a mushroom, ha) was coming out of a hole next to the bathtub. Long story short, it took them three times coming to “fix” the issue (patching the wall) and us taking videos for them to believe that it wasn’t the shower curtain but an actual leak under the tub that was causing damage inside the walls. We could smell the mildew in the closet and water would come up between the floorboards when we walked. Staff were not very nice or accommodating the whole time we were there and you could tell they were just struggling trying to keep guests happy even though the hotel is in need of some serious repair.

Beware! Do not stay here

We came here with a few other families and everyone had a really disappointing stay. As you’ll see with other recent visitors, the shower water temp oscillates from ice cold to scalding (without moving the handle). Seriously SCALDING! My son burned his back, my 3 year niece burned herself. Seriously a hazard and if I were Hyatt I would remove my name from this properly quickly! Also, at least 1 of 4 elevators was out tue whole visit creating lines to go up and down and Disneyland like waits…. You ask why not take the stairs, well for some reason the hotel has no way to take a staircase up and if you take it down it sends you through a one way door outside the hotel. Totally bizarre design and compounded the frustrations of the elevators being inadequate for the size of the hotel and partially inoperable. Additionally some sort of sewage leaked in the garage area creating a brutal odor down there. I do like the room layout and location but this place needs a major overhaul. I suggest you look at another property.
Smelly

This is a nice hotel and in a good location, however there was a terrible smell of sewage through the hotel during the entirety of our stay. I wouldn’t stay here again.
Spring Break Let Down

You probably would have a better stay at a motel down the block. 3 nights here, upon check in, sewage smell filled the floors, it was sickening. The entirety of the stay, to get an elevator was a game, we forgot an inhaler and a EpiPen in the room during breakfast, not being able to get to our room and back down could've been extremely dangerous. "We can't do anything about that because someone's going to come fix it today.." We had no HOT WATER the three nights we stayed. It would turn on for about 10 seconds and get cold. Shower has a leak that shoots to the side from the base, causing the bathroom to flood if turned on. I'm not sure what remodel just happened but there were blue painters tape covering the fire sprinkler in our room, hazard. We thought this would be a good stay considering we can in a group of 5 families, def won't be returning.
