Sweet Stay at The Sonesta!
Trell1418 on Aug 03, 2026
Our stay was excellent from beginning to end! The front desk team, especially Vanessa and Juan, made us feel genuinely welcomed. Vanessa was incredibly warm, friendly, and thoughtful. She noticed that I had requested an early check-in due to a recent surgery and traveling with our pet, and she made sure to notify us as soon as a room became available. Juan went above and beyond by helping me get to my room since I was recovering from surgery and unable to manage our luggage comfortably. His kindness and willingness to help made a huge difference. We also loved how pet-friendly the hotel was. Our pet received a warm welcome with a food and water bowl and a pet mat, which was such a thoughtful touch. The accommodations were perfect for our family of seven—two adults and five children. The suite came with 2 separate bedrooms and bathrooms, living room, sofa bed, kitchen and kitchen table set for four. We had plenty of space and everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The hotel is also 3 miles from all the parks. The exceptional customer service and attention to detail made this a wonderful experience, and we would gladly stay here again. Highly recommend!
UK Customers Avoid.. or budget the $250.

If you are traveling from the UK I’d say avoid this hotel. $250 required at check in so you will instantly lose that from your spending money. Returned on check out. If you do decide to stay here budget for that.
Lovely place to stay

This was our fourth visit to Sonesta and we were happy with the majority of things. The location is fantastic with access to everything you could possibly need on international drive. Pool & hot were great. Laundry was good. The only issue we had was the Sixt car rental cleaning people located in the car park at the far right hand corner of the hotel. We were on the third floor but were woken every morning at 7am either by the high power pressure washer or the vacuum cleaner! We did bring this up with reception to ask them if he could possible clean the windows first and leave the power washing/vacuuming until 8am, to be told that it’s nothing to do with them, even though they are on their land. They said they were full for the next couple of night but then we could move rooms if we wanted to in the middle of the day. We were not prepared to disrupt a full day of our holiday, so had no option but to stay put. Just beware if you are out at that side of the hotel, ask to move straight away unless you are a very deep sleeper!
Best hotel on International Drive

This hotel was amazing, probably the best one we have stayed in in Orlando. We usually stay in a Universal hotel but thought we would try something different and on International Drive and we were not disappointed. The location of the Sonesta was I think, the best on I-drive, right opposite Icon Park. It had an I Trolley stop right outside the hotel and near Ole Red on the opposite side. I would definitely recommend purchasing tickets for the I Trolley as you can ride to each end to both Malls and it drops you off at Seaworld. All the reception staff were so friendly especially Vanessa and Roxy and the Starbucks staff were great too. The facilities were also fantastic. A Starbucks to grab a coffee or breakfast in the morning. They had a small supermarket but we just used the Walgreens which there plenty nearby. The pool size and area was big enough, always a few people round there but enough space to chill before a busy day at the parks. Towels were available so you don’t need to bring any and it saves on luggage weight. The room was excellent, beds were super comfy, kitchen and dining area was well equipped and the bathrooms were clean. They supply shampoo, conditioner and shower gel and the wash basins had hand wash and hand cream. We stayed in a 2 bed apartment, it had 3 tvs and 2 bathrooms with bath, shower and toilets and basins outside. Sofa and armchair, cooking facilities, table and 4 chairs, sink and dishwasher and the fridge was huge. We have read reviews and some say that the floors were dirty. They were a bit but you are always walking about with shoes on. We decided to take a speed mop with some wet floors wipes (I don’t normally take cleaning products on holiday with me) and I just wiped round a couple of times on our 2 week holiday. It stated that they do a bin and towel change on day 3/4 and full clean after 7 days. The towels were changed more frequently than I expected and if I needed anything extra I just had to ask. As I wrote earlier the staff were more than happy to help day or night. If you are thinking of staying at this hotel then book it, you will not be disappointed. I would 100% stay here if I ever go back to Orlando again.
Brilliant UBER.

I was extremely surprised by the charges by UBER which were very GOOD, we took a cab from our hotel to Universal Studios and it was $4.95 we were charged $7.00 over 20 years ago so someone was ripping tourists off then but UBER were very good, they were on time and very friendly drivers, cannot fault their service, we shall be using them again when we go back next year.
