Exactly what we needed as a base for 2 weeks in Orlando

Paul635 (Kent) on Apr 21, 2026

If you are looking for a hotel that provides an apartment/suite with bedrooms / bathrooms / lounge / dining area and a small kitchen, in a location mid-way between Universal and Disney along International Drive near to a variety of restaurants, then this is the place to consider. The staff were cheerful, polite, and helpful at all times. The place was clean and tidy. Set in a coutyard style around the swimming pool over a number of levels it was very shady, and didnt feel busy, hardly saw other guests. Basic swimming pool with a seperate hot tub / jacuzzi. Complimentary towels to one side for you to help yourself. The suite we had booked was perfect for what we needed. There was a combined kitchen area, dining table, sofa, seat and large tv to give us an area to chill. The kitchen area included a large microwave, a dishwasher, a large fridge/freezer, a toaster, a coffee machine (no kettle, we used the coffee machine to boil water), so we stocked up the kitchen so we could sort out our own breakfasts / lunch snacks to save some money instead of eating out all the time. There is a large safe, an iron and ironing board, walk in wardrobes and plenty of storage / electric points. Air con throughout. There is no restaurant or bar, but there is a snack bar in the mornings were the very happy staff can provide Starbucks Drinks and pastries/breakfast if you want them. There are plenty of restaurants and Icon Park near by. Pirate Cove Adventure Golf is opposite. We were in a suite at the back corner furthest away from International Drive / Icon Park, we didnt hear any noise, although we could hear the Sixt Rental Company (desk situated next to the reception) staff cleaning the cars in the morning (not early so we didnt mind). Sometimes you could hear other guests or the elevator bell, but barely. It was about 10 minutes to Universal, and 20/25 minutes to Disney, we used UBER but you could use a car as there is a large car park surrounding the hotel. There is also the ITrolley route stopping outside, stop 14. This location and hotel was perfect for us, good value and not too basic, whilst providing what we needed so we could enjoy the parks and other things that Orlando has to offer.

Terrible

Sarah H on Apr 14, 2026

Stayed here for two week stay with virgin. Virgin advertise this as 4 star. It is not. The rooms smell, dirty, dark, old fashioned, no balcony. The rooms were only cleaned once in our whole stay. Towels changed every three days, no where to dry them, so ended up drying them around the apartment. Pool area didn’t use as very dirty, broken sun loungers and chairs. Shuttle service is terrible. Ended up getting Ubers as shuttles took over an hour and half to get to parks each day.

Great location, spotless apartment with full kitchen amenities, dressing room area and large lounge - if I could have changed one thing it would been to have a balcony. Free easy parking
