This hire was probably a 4 star hotel long time ago. Nowadays looks dated and need an upgrade. There’s no parking garage for the guest. Only valet service. The rooms are small and the bed is uncomfortable. Should get new mattress.

I chose this hotel because of the ability to have a larger sized room (studio suite) and the buy 2 nights get 1 free. It turned out to be a very nice hotel! Our studio suite had two bathrooms, a walk in closet, and a lovey sitting area with sofa and chair. I really appreciated how the room was decorated and furnished. It felt very homey with coffee table art books, bathrobes, etc. I even loved the window treatments and could see them in my own home! I also appreciated the wood floors with large area rugs - not like that gross patterned hotel carpet you see in most places. The Heathman is a great jumping off point to get to all of the main attractions. My only minor complaint would be extra attention to detail with cleaning. There was some trash in a drawer and a spot of what looked like food on the bathroom floor. I know they were struggling to get all the rooms cleaned and ready for our check in. Otherwise it was very clean and daily housekeeping service was appreciated.

Beautiful, classic luxury hotel. If only everything in life was this predictable. The rooms are so quiet for the middle of downtown Portland. Everything in downtown is basically walking distance. The accommodations are excellent if you decide to go nowhere. Always a best choice for stays in Portland.

Beautiful hotel, highly recommend it. We only stayed one night and would have loved to stay longer if we could. Excellent Hotel.

Nic, a front desk employee, took the time to find the exact room I stayed in four years ago. It cost more than the room I had booked. So he gave me a free upgrade.
