Viva Tangerine is a nice, intimate resort. Staff is friendly and the entertainment staff is tireless. We stayed in 2400 block on the first floor. Room was clean and water pressure and temperature was perfect. Buffet was more than adequate. Creativity is good for blending there. All items were hot. We thought there was a decent variety. Italian a la carte was our favourite. Our lower ratings go to bed quality. Older firm mattresses. Meh pillows. Bar alcohol. Only fabricated and flavoured options (tequila, rum, kaluha etc. No option to upgrade or purchase better. Have to be a club member. We got an amazing deal so took our own tequila. Bought some good rum and beer at the local store without much of a care. All in all, we plan to return next fall. Big pluses: gorgeous expansive beach with cool kite activity. Amazing, friendly staff. Great location to explore more of the area by foot.

The Beach was gorgeous, the pool was great, the staff is amazing and they even have a lovely dietician who goes around to talk to people. The food was good and varied. We had fun, but we are disappointed for being misled. We could have payed less for a 3 star hotel, but we took the decision to invest a bit more to have better conditions. Unfortunately that was not true. The infrastructure was not well maintained, the ceiling leaked into our room and we had rain on the floor and our beds. The staff was helpful and they found another room for us. For that we are thankful. The ceiling collapsed in several places on the third floor in the main building, particularly in front of our room and the balcony of the neighbouring room. The first room also didn't have hot water. The towels in the room had holes in them and some had dirty spots. The Beach towels also were worn out, some having holes. The main bar was closed for 4 out of our 7 day stay and our days were filled with dust and noise. We managed to have fun despite all of these issues, but we will not return.

Just returned from a week here. Enjoyed our stay, travelled with small children and found the resort to be a nice size for them. The different levels of the pool were great for them. The beach was also beautiful. Staff were very pleasant. The kids enjoyed having the dietitian coming around each day playing games and handing out prizes. She also taught us a few things about feeding kids! There was a good variety of food and always pasta and pizza at the buffet that the kids enjoyed. The kids club was a little small and not very engaging but it was just nice that they had a kids club. We would definitely stay here again in the future.

Overall a good time and good friends certainly helped. Shoutout to Oscar in the buffet. He should be the standard setter for all waitstaff. Nice welcome by Francisco when we first arrived and a big smile and Hola every time after. Special thanks to you both. Shoutout too to gardeners and cleaners. Place looks great. Some construction going on, just happened to be while we were there. Little inconvenient at the buffet during week when it was demoted to 2 corridors perhaps because there were not enough visitors to justify opening full buffet which is understandable. We never went hungry because of it though!! Try heating burgers and buns on panini press to make your personalized burger otherwise they are always cold. Never saw bacon and no Baked Beans ( few Brits there who eat more BB than rest of world put together, I do my part) Perhaps turn up warmers at buffet as most food not warm enough although this is a common problem at a lot of resorts. Guess they have to cut costs somewhere? Surprised that chicken dish in Italian restaurant wasn't warmer as it tasted like it had been drying in the sun all day. Others enjoyed their meal there, I just chose wrong. Waves were fun to play in though BE CAREFUL. Undertow can be strong and people have drowned in the area this year. Lifeguards had to help at least one adult that we saw. Long walk on beach possible. Vendors are a bit of a pest but, hey, they are trying to make a living so be patient. Beer was good and that is based on 50 years of experience. Some of the cocktails not so. Cant screw up rum and coke though. No clamato for caesars but u can buy it at store across the street. Cheaper to buy booze to bring home across street too, according to our calculations instead of duty free. Busier at weekends when locals visit. Would like to see smoking areas more strictly enforced at this time as well. Sorry smokers but nowadays you are in the minority. Dont miss Michael Jackson show. Possibly best we have seen and we have seen many. Shoutout to MJ and support dancers. Felt that we got value for money. Wont be back only because there is too little time and too many other resorts to try.

Loving the resort so far. It is under construction which is a bit inconvenient but overall still functional. They have a dietitian, Kelsey, walking around at times playing games and talking about nutrition which is a fun touch. The entertainment crew is also a lot of fun.
