For the price of the resort, you get what you pay for. The food was alright. Nothing fancy but it was edible. There is a buffet for breakfast, lunch and dinner. In between meals there is a snack bar which serves pizza, burgers, etc. The entertainers of the resort are full of energy and are kind. The pool is decent. The maid keeps the room clean. For some reason though, the bedding smells like mildew. (Stale sweat) The security guards watching the resort have a lot of attitude. Guys in green shirts harass people to buy timeshares or a fancier word for it. They are very pushy. They are on the resort. I booked an uber to pick me up and take me to monkey jungle. A heavy set guy who hangs out front said no Ubers are allowed here and he will take me there for $5. He was very aggressive about it. He threatened to have the Uber driver arrested. The hotel worker was agreeing with the heavy set guy. The aggressor got in his pickup truck and parked his vehicle where we were standing and waiting for our Uber. By the way, the same guy literally offered my boyfriend: cocaine, heroine, and marijuana the day before. I guess he's the dr*g dealer of the resort. He bullied us so much I canceled my Uber and went back to the resort crying. Why they let that man bully tourists out front is beyond me. Never returning

Everything in the resort was perfect. It felt very cozy like I liked. The staff was excellent especially Mr. Kelvin Tejada who showed us around and had given us excellent treatment. I would say I would return again and recommend this resort definitely to others.

We had SO much fun at this resort. The entertainment staff along with bar/buffet staff the place was a lot of fun. We didn’t go hungry at all and was very well taken care of. We stay 10 days at this resort, very close to downtown and in walking distance of alot of little shops and food.

The best trip we have had for a while with an inclusive resort, since we last went in 2017. Things have changed a bit since, especially after COVID recovery. We completely enjoyed this place. The resort is only half hour away from Puerto Plata, in the town of Cabarete. It is right in the middle of town so the frontage does not look like much but it expands inside. Some people comment that rooms are dated. Sure things can always be better but this place still has a few more years compared to many others. We got the room, quite big on the third floor and asked to have a ground floor room. The request was dealt promptly the next day. We got a room closed to the beach which we originally requested, a bit smaller but we took it anyway to get it done and over with. Bedding were comfy enough. We LOVED the restaurant. We were not picky eaters but still appreciated decent selections for our vacation. There were plenty of tables and long opening hours so line up never seemed to be problem. Well except for the omelette, which was a given anywhere you go. We had family member with special needs and requested for a reserve table, which received lukewarm respond but nevertheless there were many such tables and regular tables so it did not cause any concern. Gone were the days I remember even in franchise such as Riu resort that the line up a mile long at 6pm, quite annoying, not here. Food was GOOD. Many selections and deserts were killing us. Drinks were plenty, self serve machine always stocked. Beer was also self serve, except I was never got the skill to do it myself (!). Wine was not good at all, either red or white. Restaurant staff were courteous, so were bar staff. We did not feel the "attitude" of the bar staff like we sometimes received in Cuban resorts (favor treatment for women or for bad boys). We never left the resort as we been there done that all years ago so just stayed in to enjoy rest and the sun. The beach was good, a bit far away but good sand, no rock, no jelly fish, no sea urchins. There were strange condoned-off areas on the beach and pool areas with bed and mattress, which we never bothered inquired. Enough beach chairs and everyone reserved them despite signage telling not to. In the past we never went back to the same resort twice no matter how good it was. But this time we would come back here. We are getting older and weary of the unexpected of new place and very comfortable here so we will just book next trip back. That way we would be able to enjoy the time as soon as we checked in, just like going to our own cottage, no need to spend time figure out where things are and how they work.
