Exceptional Experience at Beautiful Resort

Gloria B (La Jolla, California) on Feb 28, 2026

My husband and I just returned from an unforgettable 10-day stay despite being sequestered due to the recent cartel violence. The hotel grounds are scenic and airy, the rooms super clean and spacious with private ocean-facing balconies, and the six restaurants offer great dining options. Although we didn't take advantage of them, they offer a wide range of fun activities for adults and a supervised kids program. What made our experience unforgettable, was the professionalism and genuine desire to serve of their staff. To a fault, and with true grace, they ensured that we felt safe, welcomed and cared for like family; their dedication and positive spirit (under very challenging circumstances) touched us deeply and left us wonting for another visit. If you want to be treated like royalty, choose the Fiesta Americana Puerto Vallarta.

Exceptional Food, Service, and Experience at La Cevicheria

Josef L on Feb 28, 2026

My family and I stayed here in mid-February and returned home to California a few days before disorder broke out throughout the city. Overall, the place was really nice. I found the lobby to be really inviting and frankly awe-inspiring, the way it opened up to this vast space that caused air to cool and rush through. When my 11-month old woke up at 3am, this is where I took her to crawl around and get her wiggles out. Overall, the food was pretty mid, which didn't surprise me. If the food was great, this would have been an incredible experience, but when food feels free, and it's all you can eat, it usually tastes...inexpensive. But there was one place that was pretty incredible: La Cevicheria. The only thing that upset me about that place was that we didn't discover it until our third day. My wife ordered ceviche and tacos by the pool, which came from there, and it was incredible. We ended up eating there at least once a day for the rest of our stay. Not only was the food great, but that restaurant had the best views of the beach and ocean. And the staff was incredible: Armando, Felipe, Alexis, and team treated us better than royalty; they treated us like we were family. If we ever go back, it will be because of La Cevicheria and the fine folks who worked there. It's worth noting that the service everywhere we went was outstanding. Outside, Andres, Yonni, and team had a sixth sense for when we wanted something, and they never hesitated to get it. And everyone was so sweet to us and our daughters. But the staff and food and experience at La Cevicheria were exceptional.

Loved the Fiesta Americana

PatfromIowa (Decorah, Iowa) on Feb 26, 2026

Just getting back from Puerto Vallarta, Fiesta Americana. We were there during the cartel problems. I cannot say enough about the staff that did their best to provide for our comfort and safety. It’s a beautiful, well run resort. Lovely pool, great food. We will be back.

Great Stay-Trying Circumstances

Road07188839697 (Fort Lauderdale, Florida) on Feb 26, 2026

We have visited this hotel before but this the first time since they have completed construction on the Azur restaurant, new Cevecheria, and the Mond lounge. Our check in experience went ok but after receiving our wristbands two young staff members immediately came over trying to get us to purchase a timeshare….they wanted to inform us of all the hotel had to offer, timeshare purchase info, they wanted to show us around…all this despite our telling them multiple times we weren’t interested. We told them we know where everything is and we know how things work at the hotel…still they kept blathering on until I finally told them “All I want is a cold beverage and to get to my room”. We turned and walked away to the pool bar. It was an extremely irritating experience after a very long travel day. We have been very happy with the staff here during previous visits and this time was no exception(other than the initial dustup). I will list noteworthy staff in no particular order: Sonne club…Rafi and Nacho are excellent ambassadors for this hotel Azur restaurant….Victor, Jose, and Angel were all exceptional in the help they provided Cevecheria…. Felipe, Armando, Diego, and Edgar all were very friendly and we had lunch nearly every day with them Coffee shop…Patty and Madel are both fantastic and so fun each day for early morning coffee Mond lounge….Andrik and Raul and the waitress(my apologies for forgetting her name) were very friendly and went above and beyond but there was one issue, the music was frequently much too loud…. Not sure if this was due to the DJ but I have hearing issues so it was very uncomfortable for me to sit up there and it made conversation impossible for me. Rosato….sadly I can’t remember the names of each one but they were delightful and as always we made reservations for the Rosato more than anywhere else. I can say that the piano music provided by Rico Arel is fantastic and we look forward to his playing each time we come. Chula Vista breakfast… each year we look forward to seeing Margarito at the omelette station…his attitude and smile each morning are wonderful. Rosalio, Marco, and Gume are all excellent as well. Our cleaning lady each day was Reyna…. She is a wonderful lady and so very smiley. Alma at the front is always so helpful and willing to help out in any circumstance. Our stay happened to correspond with the unfortunate violence that occurred here in Puerto Vallarta on 2/22/26….My wife and I are so grateful to each and every staff member who put on a brave and often smiling face despite what were extremely trying circumstances. Their efforts are appreciated by so many people we visited with…. Posada group should be very proud of the people they have staffing this resort… thank you reading this long winded review!

Excellent family trip

FarAway45719261404 (Cochrane, Canada) on Feb 23, 2026

Loved the smaller feel of this resort! Check in and check out we’re very easy and quick, front desk staff were always very friendly and helpful. We had partial ocean view rooms booked, were given one on the 3rd and one on 4th floor which were both great and views across the pool and bay stunning! Only real complaint for this resort is the music from the highly bands in the lobby bar was very loud and any rooms on lower floors centrally located it was hard to sleep before the music stopped which was pretty late. I’d ask for a room further from the lobby next time and maybe book a higher level room. Room was comfortable and spacious, no bedside lamps in one of our rooms which was odd, but the other had them. The rooms were kept absolutely spotless all week, thank you Sophia! Pool and beach areas are beautiful. We always managed to get a space at the beach when going for breakfast between 8-9am. Pool chairs seemed to be reserved very early here though. It didn’t bother us as we prefer to be at the beach. Food was some of the best we’ve experienced at an all inclusive. Buffet breakfast was always good, so much choice and all staff so friendly and accommodating. Lunch we enjoyed the pool snack bar and the Cevicheria, both were very good! Felipe and his team are amazing and the shrimp ceviche and tacos are so good! My son also enjoyed the fresh cooked whole fish. While we were there the hotel had several evening buffets scheduled, a bbq theme buffet, a seafood buffet, Italian buffet and the Mexican night. We booked this resort specifically for the restaurants over the regular buffet but were told on several occasions the restaurants were full or not open and we could enjoy the buffet instead. We did really enjoyed the Mexican and the bbq, excellent choices and quality but the seafood and Italian buffets were our least favourite meals of our stay, just ok, with not a lot of choices at the seafood one. The 3 restaurants which we got for 1 night each during our 7 night stay were all excellent. It would have been nice to have more evening meals in the restaurants, which is what we thought we’d be doing when we booked here. We really enjoyed the coffee from the coffee shop and our sons liked being able to get ice cream there too. The staff there are very welcoming and helpful! Although evening entertainment isn’t something we always look for, this resort did have a band playing in the lobby bar every evening and they were all pretty good. It would have been nice if the location for the entertainment changed, to an outside area or in the entry lobby area, as it was extremely loud in the lobby bar which has a low roof and the volume of music made it hard to talk or hear each other if sitting in that area after dinner, and as that’s the only location to sit/have drinks for non fiesta club guests it got very busy. Overall we would return to this resort, which we don’t often say that as we like to visit different places, we do have a few favourites we’ve returned to and Fiesta Americana Puerto Vallarta will be added to this list. The small feel and the outstanding level of service is what makes it stand out and it was so appreciated how all the staff went out of their way to provide the best experience they could!
