We had a wonderful stay here this week, the staff was so great, and we wanted to say a special shout out to the servers around the pool and to the guys at the Asian restaurant for making our last dinner so special! ??
Nice resort food selection quality could improve

Very close to the airport , cross the bridge once you leave the airport terminal pickup a taxi 120 pesos. Check in quick efficient .. asked to be on the same floor and next door and Mario said certainly. Wonderful made life so much easier with a toddler. Lobby is beautifully appointed. Beware of the stalker waiting behind you to push the time share presentation. You may say no over and over but she will reappear with her supervisor as soon as you return to the lobby after settling into your room. Say no and walk away your only option if you are not interested. The ninth floor has a nice view . rooms are dated .. bathroom shelf hits you in the back everytime you use the toilet. The beds and pillows were comfortable. The air con had difficulty keeping up with the heat of the day. The rooms smelled musty possibly from non use. Toothpaste razors hand soap conditioner shampoo body soap and lotion were provided. Housekeeping was great, rooms cleaned daily. Snacks and frig refill done daily .. one mini Pringles can one lemon nuts pkg couple sodas and beer possibly. .. we only accessed the water bottles . Asked for additional waters but didn’t get them, the 2nd floor club pool has chilled water bottles as does the breakfast buffet. So incredibly hot you need to hydrate all day long. Enjoyed the 2nd floor pool, club sandwich was good, Rafael was an incredible server! The space is used as an incentive to people signing up for the time share presentation so you may not find chairs open. The breakfast buffet is incredible.. suggest you enjoy the selection and quality as it’s the only good buffet presentation of the day. We joked day two that this would be the first AI where we lost weight instead of gained weight as we usually did from all the good food at other AI. Rice and beans beans and rice the Costa Rica guides commentary about their diets. Suggestion be careful eating the food openly displayed at the shack bar and mini lunch buffets as the pigeons are sharing thar food with you. Pigeons carry illness causing bacteria which is the last thing you want when on vacation . Every morning we listened as guests around us talked about food poisoning and what they had eaten tge day before that they felt got them sick. Thankfully we listened didn’t touch whatever foods they mentioned and tips about where they had last seen the pigeons eating at the buffet.. we were lucky nobody got sick. Coffee shop was a great touch. No chai but our one coffee drinker enjoyed this experience as well as the ice cream they served nightly. Barista was very pleasant and efficient! Lounge chair waiters were great and ready to assist you. Loved the easy entry toddler pool and play land . Shade is desperately needed for the toddler pool area as the sun got so hot so intense hard to stay in the area very long. A sun shade would be greatly appreciated . Staff were measuring and putting up sun shades to replace the removed palapas but not fast enough. No words to describe the intensity and heat of the PV sun. Lounge towels are large and fit the entire chair which was wonderful. Dinner options we liked Mexican the best second Asian and Italian on the island not so much. Food quality was all over at the Italian as was undercooked items. Wait staff at Mexican and Asian were very good. One dinner a week at azul i think it was called was great.. good quality nice presentation. Sunsets in this same area, bar off Azul were very nice. Seafood allergies do we couldn’t eat at the other club lunch restaurant. It was hard not to compare FA club to Oceans privledge where we stayed at Christmas. Oceans offered a lot more privledge amenities .. butler to schedule dinners who checked in with you daily to make sure all was well .. ocean eats (room service delivered in an ocean eats bag) that you could bring to your lounge chair under your palapa to eat on the beach as well as excellent lunch ala carte food at their outdoor restaurant. .. cubanos roast beef sandwiches ect hard to decide they were all really good. Dinner was also really good and we had our choice of many restaurants. Our room was also 150 ft from the beach with a large patio with loungers. The 2nd level pool outdoor eating and upper level floors seemed to be lacking for the additional club level fee. An app is really needed to schedule dinner as well as consult what restaurants exist might be open and their menus. Sunset plaza would be our choice for food options quality and excellent service if not traveling with a toddler. Our needs shifted with our toddler so FA worked better with their pool and playground but the healthy food options were lacking for our gluten free healthy eating family members after breakfast was served. Tips bring lots of sunscreen rash guards and hats. Bank one block away to pull out pesos to tip with and the front desk was great with giving us smaller bills to tip with. $5 uber ride to town.. early morning wonderful walk along the malecón and shopping along the rio cual. .. great people watching ..bring lots of $1, $5. Ect to tip the hard working employees with .. front desk will convert to pesos if you like .. 15 to 1 … bank aim was 16 to 1 so not really worth the trip to the bank .
Best resort for families, singles and “old” folks

The best resort we’ve ever been to in Puerto Vallarta. Rooms have wonderful ocean views and everything is so clean. There was everything here for our family (ages 2-76). The pool area isn’t crowded so that is a huge plus for us. There was a fair across the street with rides and games for all ages. The resort is close to a shopping mall which carries anything you might have forgotten at home and it’s a short can ride to downtown. We felt very safe here and in the neighbourhood. Everyone loved it ??
Best Resort we have been to ????? thinking so.

Been to Mexico/Caribbean approx 16 times so i am able to compare. One of the best resorts we have been to, with only a few minor curiosities ... Close to airport, not like Mayan where you can have numerous stops / time until you get dropped off. Beautiful lobby with crazy high roof, waterfall and open concept. Minor mix up at check in that Cassandra promptly took care of. Met Axel who assisted with our bags and who we talked to everyday. Exceptional concierge and an example all should follow. Had a couple free sit massages during our stay which was a nice touch, so to speak. Didn't use the spa, but it looks nice and the gym is loaded with equipment, weights and bikes/treadmills. Resort wasn't near capacity, which we loved, but limited sit down meals to two restaurants per evening. That said, some of the best food we have had on any trip. Combined with great service, we will remember the restaurants here for a long time and use them as our new benchmark. Breakfast buffet = good selection of food and again great service. Strange though that to sit outside with ocean view you have to have the upgraded green/ silver bands but that isn't stated anywhere, seems to be hit and miss if you are allowed to sit there with a regular blue band. There are numerous people trying to sell upgrade to the green band (private pool and restaurant and roof top bar) we didn't see value and had a great experience without the upgrade/additional cost. shout out to Veronica at the buffet. Keep that big smile going and good luck keeping the birds away with your water gun.. LOL Captain Feliepe at the seafood restaurant. great ambassador for the resort and i loved the seafood soup, which i had every day ! Victor at the Mexican and Asian restaurants. Exceptional service and attentiveness. Made our meals so special. Thanks to all three and to your teams who work their butts off ! As i said earlier, some of the best we have seen. Rooms all face the ocean. we were on 6th of 9 floors and loved the view from the balcony. we dent get room service everyday, really? need to get sheets and towels cleaned every day. but when we did, friendly service. one thing that did annoy us was the loud music each night. had read other reviews about it and i would suggest ear plugs. not sure why the resort does that other then because they don't have evening entertainment and are trying to make up for it, but doesn't need to be so loud that rooms six floors up can hear it. so be it. beach, incredible to walk and enjoy. no seaweed like Mayan. lots of vendors but no gracias and they move on. water is swimmable but you do have to be mindful of currents at times. did see whales from room and beach twice. 100 peso taxi to Malecon. Walkable, but long and hot to the marina. my wife owes me :). . Again, one of the best vacations and resorts we have been to. would highly recommend. you will not be disappointed !!
Amazing couples trip

Amazing stay at the Fiesta Americana March 2026. We decided on booking the resort based on the proximity to the airport and downtown area. Check-in: the occupancy level was down due to recent events so there was no wait at the front desk and we were quickly given room keys. Paola at the front desk was great and super helpful. Room: We were given a room on the 5th floor. It was an oceanview king. The fridge was stocked with basics that was replenished daily. It was very clean. Balcony was great for a view overlooking the pool and beach. Temperature is adjustable. Pool: We lucked out and there was never an issue getting any chairs even at 11am. Thank you to Jorge for the aqua aerobics. Big thanks to Yionnis, Ignacio and Raphael for the drinks! There is a swim up bar. Not many kids while we were there but there is a separate kids area to the pool. Cabanas are extra to rent. Beach: No issues getting any lounge chairs. Vendors approach you to sell the usual items like sunglasses, blankets, jewelry but they aren’t super aggressive. Go get a massage by Brenda or Cynthia situated on the beach! 600 pesos for 30 min or 1000 pesos for 60 min. They are close by the resort. Tried the massage and the reflexology. It was great! Restaurants: You can book daily 9-5pm in front of the Asian restaurant. No issues with getting in. Asian: lots of items. Not super authentic. It was our least favorite. They charge extra for the hibachi show but did not offer it when we went due to low occupancy. Mexican: one of our favourites! Must try. Italian: our fave! We got seated overlooking the pool area. Beef tenderloin and the lasagna were great. Azur: we were told it is $54 usd extra pp if we were not a rewards member. We did not try. Sonne club: we paid $90 usd for the day to go up to the adult pool area. It’s nice up there with the view but it felt quite small and you can pretty much hear everyone’s conversations. Special menu up there to order from. The lamb burger and chicken club were yummy. You also get access to the drink lounge beside the Azur from 7:30pm-11pm. It has a nice view with a DJ playing music. Buffet: breakfast- rewards members get to sit closest to beach. Service was always great. Omelette station and taco station were the highlights. Lunch- limited items but you can get nachos, hotdogs and burgers. Best bet is to go to cevecheria for the seafood tacos. Tip: you can ask for it grilled if you don’t like deep fried battered tacos. Shout out to Chrystian the server and Raymundo. Room service: such a nice menu to order from when you don’t wanna leave the room! It’s included. Just tip the server who delivers! Gym: nice selection of equipment and nobody ever in there. Lobby bar: pretty quiet. Not much entertainment or night life to the resort. But drinks are great no issues! Would definitely come back. Uber to Malecon and Marina was cheap… $8 cdn.
