Best experience at Emotions!

Just got back from Marival Emotions Resort & Suites and honestly we had the BEST time. The vibe was so fun from morning to night. The yoga classes with NRG2GO were one of my favorite parts — such good energy, beautiful setting, and the perfect way to start the day feeling grounded and refreshed. We also loved all the activities they had going on! The mixology class was so much fun (and dangerous in the best way ??), the guacamole class was delicious and interactive, and every night there was something happening. The fire show was AMAZING and the White Party was such a vibe — music, dancing, everyone dressed in white, just pure vacation magic. One thing I definitely recommend is checking out the class/activity schedule as soon as you get there because some of the classes and events are hard to find online and you don’t want to miss them! The whole resort felt lively, friendly, and full of things to do without ever feeling stressful. Definitely one of those trips where you leave already wanting to come back. ???

Have came to this resort numerous times over the past few years, always a great time. There are lots of activities for adults and kids. Great food and staff. Dalia at Bar Volare is exceptional and puts a smile on my face every time I see her!
Excellent service

This resort is excellent for families. There are a lot of activities and shows for the kids to enjoy. The rooms are outdated but everything else made up for it. Some special mentions that made our stay much more enjoyable: The concierge: Octavio was excellent. He helped us coordinate the beach club access and was very friendly and professional. Beach club: Leonel was our server and he was the absolute best! That was the best experience we’ve had beach side. Silk restaurant: Martin, Joel, and Cristian were our servers. They were great and attentive.
Not what we expected, needs improvement.

Overall, the experience was just okay. The property itself was pretty clean, and the landscaping seemed well taken care of. The kids pool is excellent for children under 8—that was definitely a highlight. The kids club also had some fun options like a playground, trampoline, and swings. However, we didn’t take full advantage of the activities since our 1-year-old required parent supervision, and we ended up finding more enjoyable things to do off the property. Outside of that, the rooms and food were mediocre. The specialty restaurants were actually great, but depending on your stay, you can get stuck with limited or inconvenient reservation options. Reservations for these restaurants open on Sundays, so if you want the best times and days for the week, plan to book early that day. Our room had issues. The bathtub plug didn’t work, so we couldn’t use it at all. We also used the pull-out couch for our 3-year-old, who occasionally has nighttime accidents. We requested a mattress protector and extra linens. The first night, they delivered everything and even made the bed, which was great. But after an accident that night, we left the soiled linens in a pile as expected—and they were never replaced. We had to go to the concierge to request more. A few nights later, the same thing happened again. We requested clean linens, were told they’d be delivered, and they never showed up. This happened multiple times and became frustrating quickly. Transportation was one of the worst parts of the trip. We’re a family of four (with a 1- and 3-year-old), traveling for 8 days/7 nights, so we had 3 large suitcases, a stroller, and backpacks—nothing excessive. Upon arrival, they first tried to put us in a Toyota Corolla, then switched to a shuttle van. Then I received a message from the transportation coordinator, Fidel, asking me to come speak with him. That conversation went poorly. He told me I packed too much and said his family travels with small bags. He then tried to charge me an additional $168 on top of the $120 I already paid for round-trip transportation because I didn’t list the luggage quantity. I pushed back, explaining this was a reasonable amount of luggage and suggested they add a luggage question to their booking form if it’s that important. He said he didn’t have time to ask everyone that. At that point, I asked to cancel (around March 29–30). I’ve since followed up multiple times (April 12 in both English and Spanish) and have received zero response or refund. It honestly felt like a scam and showed no interest in resolving the issue. To make matters worse, I was able to get my entire family and all our luggage to the airport in a small Uber for $12 plus a $20 tip—no issues at all. The nightly shows were fun and entertaining, but they all started between 7:30–8:30 PM, which pushed bedtimes to 9:30–10:00 PM. That’s great for older kids, but not ideal for families with younger children. Other notes: * Grounds staff were very friendly. * Drinks were noticeably watered down. * They push hard on a membership/timeshare presentation immediately upon check-in. * Laundry services are extremely overpriced (quoted ~$300). Doing it yourself onsite cost about $20. They do provide detergent—but I wasn’t told this, bought some from their store, and when I tried to return it minutes later, I was told no refunds. Did we have some fun? Yes. Were there multiple frustrations? Absolutely. Would we return? No.
Leadership of the sports and entertainment team.

We had a wonderful vacation at Marival Emotions. It was made so special because of Leo Cordero, Sports and Entertainment Manager. Leo treats us like family and makes us feel amazing. We also had the pleasure of meeting his new baby, and had time to spend with his wife Lupita. His team of sports and entertainment make Marival a very wonderful family experience. We highly recommend Marival to any family looking for a place to vacation with lots of activities for all. Keep up the great work Leo, you are truly making Marival a wonderful family resort!!!
