Overall, we had a great experience. We were part of a family group of 10. The resort is a great value for what is included. We did have one problem with our room’s AC unit. The maintenance team immediately came to investigate but when they determined it would be a longer fix we were moved to a new room. The service was excellent and the atmosphere was chill and a great place to relax, while at the same time activities for everyone. The location was perfect, right on the ocean, so able to swim in the resort pools or the ocean, whatever you preferred. We also enjoyed the many different cultural background of guests. We would definitely return if given the opportunity.

We have been to the Occidental Nuevo Vallarta approximately 9 times and LOVE it! We would especially like to acknowledge the staff, who are amazingly friendly and who provide excellent service,all around! Whether it is the front desk, restaurants, bar, cleaning staff, bellmen; always a pleasure. While we cannot remember everyone's name. we would like to recognize: Julio Larios, Jonathan and Marisol at First Club; Isaura Rosarra (sp) and Silvia (cleaning staff); Augustin, Ezekiel and Irene at the pool bar; Jerry, Erik and David at the buffet; Julio, Maria and Gustavo at Tokyo and countless others! Keep up the great work!

Loved loved this resort! First time in Mexico and the staff were so accommodating and friendly. The buffet was delicious and always had a wide selection of food. Grounds and rooms were always clean

We stayed the first part of March. This was our fourth time staying at the Occidental, and it was our best trip yet. We loved every hotel staff member, but we especially appreciated Marisol at the Royal Club restaurant where we enjoyed the best breakfast every morning. Marisol went out of her way to speak beginner Spanish with our boys, who are learning Spanish at school. We highly recommend the Occidental Nuevo Vallarta and can’t wait to go back.
