First time at ONV and we'll be back

We traveled to Puerto Vallarta last week of August and stayed a week at the ONV resort, in their vacation club section. This Occidental hotel is a smaller resort than those of the same corporation in Riviera Maya but it is well appointed. Our room at the VC section had a balcony facing the sea, with spectacular views of the sunset! Every morning, we took breakfast at the vacation club bar and buffet. No waiting time and Manuel and Jessica were the perfect hosts. In the evenings, Gustavo, big thanks for going the extra mile with your service and great sense of humour. Lunch was either at the Mexican Restaurant (out at the deck) or at the Buffet restaurant, where the food and service was great. I love Mexican food! Big thanks to the cook who brought me a fresh cooked tilapia as requested and Daniel at the bar for great service and conversations! The service at any bar was great and quick, maybe at peak times there was a bit of waiting but it was rewarded with an amazing drink, served with a smile. A big thanks to Aldo, Adolfo, Canario, and Julio at the vacation club bar as they always greeted us with a smile, a nice chitchat, our favorite drinks and Aldo even named drinks with my name, LOL. You have a great crew, senior Felix :-) The entertainment team worked really hard to keep guests entertained and/or active if that's your choice. All week there was a variety of activities, at the beach or by the main pool. We even did kayaking in the sea! We very much enjoyed the Mexican night, and the games organized and run by the team. The night shows were varied and good but unfortunately those were presented in at a smaller location rather than at the main stage because of the risk of rain. Thanks to Vicente and his crew: Jesus, Carlos, Rosalia and Eva and the night shows crew for keeping us entertained and to Adriana of the Kids club, Nico says thanks :-) He's still wearing the bracelet he made with you. Security is superb and they look after you and your safety in the property grounds. Cleanliness is very good, the beach and grounds are swept and cleaned constantly. The sea water is warm and the sand a nice golden brown color, beautiful. Overall, a very nice hotel and vacation. That week went by flying but I am looking forward to coming back!

It is an excellent all inclusive resort. It is clean, the bed is comfortable, never short of anythings, snack, bottles of water or any drinks, There are few a la cart restaurants such as Royal International restaurant , Tokyo Japanese restaurant , Olivo Italian restaurant and the Mexican buffet restaurant. I found all the staffs working very hard and offered me and my wife very good service, in particular Marisol Caidcras from the buffet restaurant , very often you will be overlooked in the busy buffet restaurant . Marisol has such a good memory , she remembered my wife's drink every time when we visiting the buffet restaurant. Also there was nothing too much trouble to her. We ate in all the restaurant , never short of choices and quality. The food was excellent in all the restaurants. If you are a seafood lover , there are a lot of prawns , mussels , salmon , tuna in the restaurants . The fillet steak and pasta in the Italian , The medallion beef and the salmon in the Royal were very good . Watching the chef cooking in the Japanese restaurant was fun . Though the beach is just a minute away from the swimming pool , I prefer the pool . It is clean. We enjoyed most was spending our time in the hot tub and the jacuzzi . It was so relaxing . We enjoyed our stay very much simply everyone at Occidental Nuevo Vallarta making us felt important. Very sad we have to go home today . We will come back to visit again. Room 653
