The whole stay was very good. For the price everything was satisfactory. The golf course has a nice layout. The greens need to be improved. They were in pretty bad shape. The course itself it's very well kept. Maybe they had issues with the greens when I was there. Such a nice course with horrible greens doesn't make sense. I guess they had some issues and were in the process of repairing it. I hope next time I'll have better greens to play on. The good was good with a lot of variety. I have been to more expensive resorts but the food is almost the same in all inclusive resorts. Nothing amazing but decent. I would definitely come back.

My husband and I enjoyed our stay at the Barcelo Bavaro Palace for 6 days and we moved to the OCCIDENTAL CARIBE for 9 days

The best thing at the resort was the staff at The Carey Lounge. Every day we showed up there and they welcomed us like family. They were amazing!! Yorby De Leon, John Feliz, Yurbi Cru, Ronald Castillo, and Luis De Lo Santo Made sure we were always well taken care of. Also the Staff at the Casino. Super Attentive. Yeri, and Santo Polanco were always accommodating with our request and made us enjoy every second we spent there. For food, La Fuente was the best of the best!! The rooms were okay. A lot of issues with the TV, and cleanliness at initial check in. Once I informed them they resolved my issues.

We have been coming to this resort for over 9 years. Kids love it and only want to come here. Great water parks, kids club, mini golf, pool tables, bowling. Love the big pool by the buffer that kids can enjoy while you finish your food. Many restaurants to choose from in the evening. Huge theater with kids and adult shows. Lots of shops right in the hotel if you want to do some shopping. Definitely recommend!!!

We stayed at Barceló Bávaro Palace as a family of four. The resort is beautiful with great facilities, but we experienced several issues. Room Issues: The first room we received had no privacy in the shower, completely open to the bedroom—very uncomfortable for a family with kids. We had to cover it with a bedsheet until they moved us the next day. Even the second room had problems, including wooden sliding bathroom doors that constantly got stuck and were difficult to use. Food Quality: The food was disappointing. Many dishes tasted off, as if very low-quality oil or ingredients were used, and even the desserts were affected. It’s a shame because the kitchen staff works hard, but the ingredients ruin the experience. Staff & Communication: The staff was very kind and polite, but many could not communicate in English. It would really help if management invested in basic English training for these great workers. Tea & Hot Water: One confusing thing is there’s no ready hot water available in a jug at service area. If you want hot tea, staff must walk to a machine and wait in line just to get hot water sometimes takes 10 minutes. They were also often out of English Breakfast (black) tea, which made it difficult to enjoy a simple cup of tea. Overall, the resort is beautiful, but room design issues, food quality, and service logistics need improvement.
