Fun games and entertainment with staff

if you don't have premium booking don't expect to get into most of the a la carte restaurants. They can book before they arrive. Were everybody has to do it when they get there. We had 9 in our group including 2 small children. 9pm is to late for them. And all the entertainment started at 10pm so we didn't see any. Other than that it was a good trip ,the staff was great.

My husband and I were traveling with another couple. We were celebrating our 35th wedding anniversary, and the other couple was celebrating their 30th wedding anniversary. When we arrived, the hotel lobby was simple but beautiful. Nothing flashy. At check-in, in the adults-only Barcelo Bavaro Beach, the young lady checking us in spoke so fast that we only caught about half of what she was saying (and we speak Spanish). We asked her to repeat herself several times, and she seemed so annoyed that, honestly, we figured we would come back later and ask someone else. She did state that they upgraded our room, so, honestly, I did get excited. She also stated that there would be champagne in both our rooms and that it should be in the refrigerator. Upon arriving to our room, I was only amazed at the size of our bed. I felt like a cougar every night trying to reach my husband from my side of the bed to his (lol!). The rest of the room was so outdated that it reminded me of the days my husband and I could only afford Motel 6 (Lol!). At least, Motel 6 had better bath towels. The bath towels had holes and horrible stains on them (all that were provided). We had a broken ironing board with no iron, and the bathroom tiles were falling off. We had to call the concierge office to request an iron. Our room was not cleaned daily, even though we placed the sign to clean our room. It wasn't until I finally found out who our cleaning lady was and I tipped her, that she finally came and cleaned our room. We had to call the concierge office every day to request new towels and toilet paper. The tub was so high and slippery that I was surprised that we never slipped and fell. Our room view was spectacular; I give that 5 stars, but even our curtains had holes. My husband got bad food poisoning one night, and unfortunately, he spent our anniversary leaning over the toilet. (Be very careful what you eat here!) That takes me to all the servers. For the most part, we did notice that Caucasians were treated much better than we Latinos. All the servers seemed miserable! They never smiled, and at the Santa Fe Restaurant (specialty steakhouse), they overcooked my steak, and I requested that they bring me a new one. Our friends witnessed the waitress roll her eyes in annoyance as she picked up my plate. The only spectacular waitress in the whole resort was Berenice at La Comedie Restaurant. The only one who interacted with us, and she was such a breath of fresh air. Honestly, I could go on and on about EVERYTHING that went wrong at this hotel. My husband and I have traveled all through the Caribbean. We have traveled to Europe, Mexico, Hawaii, etc., and, by far, hands down, this is the worst place we have ever stayed at. The champagne NEVER arrived to our room, even after we requested it at the concierge office FOUR TIMES!!!! Punta Cana is beautiful, but if we ever return, it will not be to this hotel, which is a shame because the location is great, but the service, food, staff, and rooms leave nothing to be desired.

10/10 staff was extremely helpful very clean food was a 10/10 was a great vibe scenery was great met great ppl during my stay it was my second time in punta cana and I can stay this was the best will definitely be back next year
