Nice stay, with attentiveness
felixfaundez (Fortune Bridge, Canada) on Feb 04, 2023
-The location is very convenient to explore the area and the building is beautiful! -The staff was very friendly and helpful, which was key to the overall feel of the stay. -Nice experience at Le Sam Bistro, although the wine list was pretty basic and the tiramisu looked like anything but that. -Place Dufferin breakfast lounge was very comfy and pleasant to start the day with. Really good eggs Benedict, and huge variety of good options for breakfast. -The room was quite comfortable and private. However, I would point out that the bed was a bit too soft, the lights were somewhat confusing: one of them would not turn off unless unplugged, and the coffee machine is not particularly friendly: it overflowed twice. Plus the coffee quality was not up to the level expected. -The $25 Experience fee was never explained, and after writing for clarification to keep in mind for future reference, all I got was, "The 25$ of charge is for the acces to the common rooms like the game room and the buisiness center. Every reservation has those charges." I am still not sure what we missed out exactly. -All in all, nice experience, not life-changing or particularly memorable, but worth it (at least?) once.
Weekend Stay.

Experience was quite good. Hotel facilities are great. Breakfast very rich and great quality. Waiting time for breakfast was way too long though. Pool facilities are great as well as the gym & SPA. It takes quite a long time to get your car from valet so plan ahead.
Winter Carnival

Anyone planning to make a trip to Quebec City to the winter carnival in February should make reservations at the Hotel Frontenac Theservice is absolutely positive, friendly, and knowledgeable. We especially admire the service by Mark and Emilie at Sam‘s restaurant in the hotel. They were fabulous. I Highly recommend it.
Was on my Bucket List of Hotels

Loved it, the hotel itself did not disappoint. The architecture is as impressive as I thought it would be, and more. We have stayed at many hotels that are this age or similar, so I feel as if we know what to expect, they are not going to be huge rooms and the bathrooms can be quite small. However, this bathroom was almost unusable. The toilet was against the glass shower wall, and the shower was tiny, I am 6'4 I just need some space to maneuver around. That was exceptionally disappointing, not to mention the handle came off in my hand in the shower. There is no one supervising the housekeeping staff as they would seem to gather at the end of the hall daily with their carts, one of them saying "It's Friday we are just waiting to go home" That was concerning. The bell/door/valet staff were amazing,

The Fronteac is a destination in itself, but the staff at the hotel was absolutely amazing and they made a good trip into an amazing trip! The staff on the 14th floor are gold...no pun intended :) All of the 14th floor staff were amazing, but Rose, Laura and Cassandra were our rock stars! It is because of those 3 women that we will be booking again this summer with you for our 25th anniversary... Cheers and Congrats to you for managing and creating the atmosphere that we absolutely loved... Bev Bennett
