Just ok

Sweithman (Englewood, Florida) on Jan 21, 2023

Check Frontenac website for my review. It was a spectacularly disappointing stay for what we expected on booking and checking in at this marvelous looking place. We tried to upgrade before we arrived and was told it must be done at check in. We tried upgrading at check in and was assured an upgrade was available and assigned the additional cost to the bill. Upon arriving at the room we were so dumbstruck at how incredibly average the room was I was immediately convinced we were given a regular room at an upgraded price. I chose not to argue with the desk and start a romantic get-away off on a very bad foot so I swallowed hard and ate it. I will never recommend this hotel to anyone. Stay at a boutique hotel and have dinner and the Chateau. Completely not worth it.

Lived up to expectations

LyndellandMarc (Brunswick Heads, Australia) on Jan 21, 2023

Our opinion is that of the Fairmont chain of Chateaus built in the early 1900s to entice the people to holiday via train, the two most eloquent are the chateau Frontignac in Quebec and the one in Banff. Externally Chateau Frontignac is a stunning landmark that allows you, as a visitor, to constantly reorientate yourself and internally, although not as expansive as Banff, lives up to its luxious reputation.
