Our group of 3 adult couples highly enjoyed our 1 week stay at The Fives. Everything in this hotel is high quality. The rooms are spacious, comfortable, and cleaned well every day. We only ate at the restaurant for breakfast but the selection, quality, and service was top notch. Jesus and Hector were both excellent servers and took very good care of us. The rooftop was a highlight. There are 2 separate pools and a hot tub. The pool by the bar is always busy and you have to pay to use the loungers in front of the bar. There was always loungers available at the pool on the other side of the roof. Although there were a few times where people would 'reserve' chairs and then not use them. Pools were a good temperature, not warm but not cold. The hot tub was large and very warm. We used the Spa. The hydrotherapy circuit and massage was very relaxing and reasonably priced. The only negative with our visit was the Air Transat $555 USD promotion was a complete sham. We were not able to use the coupons for anything. Overall experience was great and would recommend this hotel to anyone.

We had an amazing lunch at The Fives Downtown Rooftop Restaurant! ???? We had epic views of the BEST swimming pool in Playa Del Carmen, relaxed vibe and superb service from Jesus & Jesus! (Easy to remember ??) I was so impressed with the VIP service from the drinks, appetizers, meals and desserts! We ordered Ceviche Mixto (Shrimp & Octopus), Guacamole and Empanada Argentinas as our appetizers. The presentation was beautiful, generous portions and absolutely delicious! Talk about a gastronomic treat!!!???? Our group ordered Shrimp & Arrachera tacos, Grouper Fish, and The Fives Filet. Our servers: Jesus + Jesus timed the main meal perfectly! Again, we were impressed with the visual presentation and the food was hot, seasoned well and so delicious! ?? Although we were full, we had to sample the dessert and shared the Affogato and New York Cheesecake! WOW!!! Perfect ending of our fabulous meal at The Fives Downtown Rooftop!??. The sun loungers were calling us! ?? I highly recommend staying at The Fives Downtown as it’s central to 5th Avenue or purchase a well worth Day Pass that goes towards beverage and food! Mariela esta muy amable! This is my favorite coffee place in Playa. It’s inside a beautiful hotel, the bathrooms are clean y las vibras estan tranquilo. Try the cinnamon roll for un muy dulce treat! Latte caliente con caramello is my fave. Oh, and the Reggae smoothie. (I’m here often ??)

The only place you could smoke last year was in the jacuzzi area. This apparently changed 3 months ago and we booked our holiday 7 months ago. If you are a smoker this is not the hotel for you as you will have to get dressed from the pool area and descend four floors and exit the hotel
