We have been going to Nizuc for 30 years. We have always enjoyed our stays and have upgraded our membership 5 times and just recently upgraded to Diamond. The staff is always great, food just fine, shows really good to attend, rooms can't be beat. The only issue we have is the fact that if you buy anything in the gift shops they want to charge you $3.00 for a plastic bag? I just don't get that ! Its the little things that stick with quest. YOU might want to rethink that one.

The service staff at Carvao were amazing! They were quick with the food, very polite and kind! Gabriela, Cesar, and Fernando were our wait staff and they were amazing! Highly recommend!

Our recent stay at Moon Palace Nizuc completely blew us away. Saying we had an amazing time is an understatement. From start to finish, the food was phenomenal, and the quality of the drinks and service was far superior to any other resort we have visited.What truly elevated our vacation from great to legendary was the outstanding service from two gentlemen: Rafael and Alejandro at the snack bar and poolside bar. They constantly went above and beyond to anticipate our needs. Even though they were working hard to keep everyone around the pool happy, they made us feel like the only guests there. Their dedication is unmatched. We are already planning our return and will definitely be looking for Rafael and Alejandro next time.

We are here now. My husband and I booked 8 nights at the Nizuc Moon Palace. We chose this resort for one reason only the birding here is fantastic! We did 2 tours with Rebecca who works for The Palace. Rebecca, was very knowledgeable and conscientious and it made for a great birding tour. The food is delicious everywhere you it. The Brazilian steaks house was very good but I must say the food at Manglar was just as good. The cooked to order spaghetti, the Greek Fish!! The Roasted Turkey that is the best of any I have had in the states. The Mango fruit so fresh! The people who work here are top notch extremely friendly, kind, and most helpful at every turn. Brian, in the Manglar remembered us everyday and took special care of us and brought me a beautiful rose in water in a dish upside down…it was beautiful! So, atomosphere was nice, rooms excellent, value expensive, cleanliness excellent, in restaurant it was loud but not out in the courtyards. Services, excellent. I feel for such a magnificent place like this is there are 2 draw backs for me. The pools seem old and most you have to climb a ladder to get out of and for the size of the resort like other places we have stayed most of the pools connect so you can swim to your room or they are at each group of rooms.Here you have to get a shuttle if your room is on the outskirts. We walk and we did the bird tours but you don’t wanna go walking to get dinner and be all sweaty when you get there. So,don't be in a hurry to get anywhere and allow plenty of time. Lastly, this is not the hotels fault. The ocean is horrible….thick like chocolate syrup filled with sargassum….they are forever pushing and cleaning it off the beach. The smell is awful. I am all about the water normally and I knew it was going to be like this from all of the reviews. However, we chose this for the birding only.
