I don't like it

Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are all from the same buffet, okay! You won't gain weight! But it's terrible that any wine they serve is watered down. If you want a drink, like Jameson, chivas, grey goose, Tito’s …you have to pay. Otherwise, they serve you terrible liquor. It's a lie that everything is included. There's only one bar open during the day and in the evening, and there's always a line. The service is slow, and the girls have disgruntled expressions.
Schlecht

"} FORMAL COMPLAINT – REQUEST FOR COMPENSATION This statement constitutes a formal complaint and notice of reservation of all legal rights regarding my stay at Grand Bahia Principe Samana starting February 23, 2026. The reservation was made by telephone, during which I clearly informed the hotel that I am a wheelchair user and require an accessible room with appropriate facilities. The hotel explicitly confirmed that all accessibility requirements would be met. Upon arrival, it became evident that the information provided was inaccurate and misleading. The room does not meet basic accessibility standards, access to hotel facilities is severely restricted, and the conditions significantly impair my stay. Despite paying approximately €300 per night for all-inclusive services (approximately $2600 total), the services provided were substantially below the agreed standards, including an empty minibar, lack of basic bathroom amenities, extremely poor service, and unacceptable quality of food and beverages. Requests for a solution, room upgrade, or transfer to an appropriate alternative hotel were rejected without meaningful consideration. Responsibility was shifted to the call center, which responded in an unprofessional and dismissive manner. Furthermore, repeated requests to speak with hotel management were ignored. The hotel’s conduct constitutes, in my view: • misleading commercial practices • breach of contract • failure to provide reasonable accommodation for a person with disability • services significantly below the paid standard • material and moral damages I request immediate remediation and fair financial compensation. Failing this, I expressly reserve my right to pursue all available legal remedies before the competent authorities and court

The hardest review to write as it has 2 sides - good and bad ! We read the reviews and decided to spend 2 quiet weeks in a nice place. So …. Let’s start of positive . The views are most amazing . The staff is out of this world - other then a barmaid at the pool the employees are outstanding . The rooms are large and cleaned well . The beach - small and private . Entertainment- for what they provide in a lobby from 8 to 10 pm singers are pretty good . Now let’s go to negative . Although the hotel has amazing views it is far from the airport and the closest city will cost you 50 us to travel and this is the only way to explore outside of the hotel . Not walkable past the gate as there are no places to go and no sidewalks . There are 3 restaurants mentioned , but one is a buffet with a small space without air conditioning, Italian is closed and international serves most of the meals from the buffet . The only place worth dinning is Don Pablo - no ac but meals are not to bad . Keep in mind you get 2 res a week - one in intl and one in Don Pablo . The rooms are kept clean but ac sounds like a generator in a room , mildew and mold on the walls under windows. The beach is not kept in best condition and if you are not fit good luck with the endless amount of stairs. No bar or bathroom on the beach . Everywhere you heading you fighting flights of stairs . Only one bar is opened at the pool during the day and lobby at night . So this being said you will see whales swimming by , encounter amazing staff , have a very quiet vacation . The only ending to our vacation was a terrible stomach problem which lasted 2 weeks and speaking to other guest some had shared similar experience.
staff goes way above beyond location awesome everything else needs improvement

My husband and I (early fifties but feel younger :) were here end of Jan, start of Feb. Older crowd, small resort not much if anything to explore. We found it to be very clean which was nice. Outdoor Buffett area was beatiful. Nice beach, no snorkeling, pool area average, we preferred the beach, even with the road noise right behind us. We whale watched from the beach with our binoculars. Only 1 bar open, pool bar, then lobby bar afternoon and night. (They may have overlapped for an hour or 2). No beach bar, looonng walk to get a drink. Buffet was good, but it got old because there were no other options other than only 2 a la cartes - not enough for 1 week and no snack bar. No mini bar either in rooms, which was a first for us! Barely any entertainment. Nice peaceful place but we did find it a bit boring. Our room was awesome, 317, great balcony and view, neighbor only in 1 side. Bed was HORRIBLE. If this resort still had the previous amenities (mini bar, 3rd al la carte, beach bar) I could see why people would be return guests. Not now though, why would you go here when most other resorts provide these amenities.
