Discrimination

W5913CXivang on Jul 18, 2026

Discrimination, even tho I paid for multiple drinks and food and I was treated like a person who didn’t follow their rules or just skipping rules, being Latino on this place will make you a target. This is so sad.

Great beach family vacation!!!

Escape26158834267 on Jul 16, 2026

Hotel was very close to so many things to do. It had great views everywhere you went on the property. You had access to the public beach and their private beach, which was absolutely amazing. It was not crowded and great sand. We went to their Pizza pasta restaurant and the food was absolutely amazing. All staff we encountered were helpful and friendly. flFor the kids, so awesome that they have the seals and the playground (besides the beach of course). Could even see the seaworld drone show from one side of the hotel. Room was clean, spacious and amazing view.

Business

Business sucks. Housekeeping takes personal items. Keys don’t work. Parking is a disaster. A hot mess all over. SMH.

DO NOT STAY HERE- Owners son treats and threatens guests and employees terrible.

Tessa O on Jun 29, 2026

We came to Bahia Resort to celebrate a birthday with a party of 14 people, including grandparents in their 70s, adults in their 40s, and children. We paid premium prices expecting a relaxing and memorable vacation. Instead, our trip was overshadowed by an incident that left our entire family shocked and disturbed. A man driving a white truck, who identified himself as the owner’s son, confronted one of our guests for fishing on the beach and threatened him with a blow torch. There is no signage anywhere on the property indicating that fishing is prohibited, and members of our group even observed a resort employee fishing in the same area. Security later responded and apologized repeatedly for what had happened. When we spoke with the front desk and management, we were told there was little they could do because the individual involved was allegedly the owner’s son. Staff members also apologized to us and stated that this behavior “happens all the time,” that he “treats employees and guests horribly,” and that there is little they can do because of his relationship to ownership. If true, that is deeply concerning. No guest paying top dollar to stay at a resort should ever feel threatened, intimidated, or dismissed when reporting serious concerns. Because of the seriousness of the incident, we contacted law enforcement, consulted attorneys, and are considering speaking with local media outlets. No guest—and frankly, no human being—should EVER be treated this way. Bahia Resort has beautiful grounds, but hospitality means very little if guests do not feel safe, respected, and protected.
