Really worth the money! Beautiful location

I took my family and my in laws for a week long vacation and let me start with. They are all still talking about how amazing the time at Bahia was. The rooms are very simple but very clean, you can’t beat the view and you can walk pretty much anywhere for anything you might need. I really enjoyed our daily lunch and breakfast at the Dockside. I can’t even remember the last time I was stopped by the amount of effort that went in to the constant customer service. I really want to say thank you to Jami and Ashley who were the ones who really stood out and always effortlessly went out of their way to make us feel special. Will definitely be recommending this place to my friends. Well worth every penny spent. They also have 2 seals that my children loved visiting. Every day!
Beautiful grounds that's what you'll pay for.

I was so excited for my family's stay at this resort. Once we arrived the check in process was extremely slow. In my reservation I asked for a ground level suite so that we would have easy access to the beach. I knew it couldn't be guaranteed but thought i'd try anyway. At check in she says "your room number is 2XX", so in my mind I'm like second floor, right? So I say "oh, is there anyway to get a ground level suite?" and she says "that is a ground level." oooookkkk. So then she points out where it is on the map and i'm like that's in the dead middle of the resort, not even along the edges where the easy access beach rooms/suites are located. So she's like let me see where I can move you too. I'm like great, and again a ground level would be preferred. She says of course, no problem. We wait another while longer and finally she gives us our room keys and says 2XX. In my mind i'm like ok, another 2 room... So I say 2XX is a ground floor, yes?? and she replies, yes. ok.... so we head to our room and of course it's NOT a ground floor. At this point i'm like whatever, I am not wasting any more time with this we'll just deal with it. So we go into the room, it's old, 1990's furnishings at best. There is a bathroom as soon as you walk in, then a kitchen, a living room with one pull out sofa bed couch and one smaller couch and a bedroom with two beds. The balcony had a decent view of one of the beaches but again you can't access it from your room. Now when you walk into the bedroom you automatically see one of those tall, skinny rotating fans that you by from any store, no biggie, right, as a matter of fact when you like to sleep cold you're probably like oh that's awesome UNTIL bedtime comes.... as in all or most hotels they have those ac/heater units attached to the wall this one was no different so we turned on the ac my two boys slept out on the couches, my two daughters slept on one of the beds and my husband and I shared the other bed. Lord Almighty, when I tell you the bedroom got SO HOT we thought for sure one of the boys shut the ac off, but no, it was on and they were freezing out there. So we opened the windows in the bedroom and no joke, 6 am the next morning you can already hear some kind of construction vehicles backing up and who knows what else. It was like this EVERY NIGHT/MORNING!!! Water pressure in the shower is fantastic. You will get out and immediately need to look in the mirror to make sure you still have skin on your body but honestly that's how I like it so I didn't mind that. After the first day all of our keys stopped working due to a sequencing error so we had to go back and get those fixed. Basically if you stay here you are just paying for the grounds as they truly are so beautiful! Very close to Sea World. Walking distance to Starbucks, woot woot. About a 10 minute walk to Mission Beach. We had a great vacation overall but I would NOT stay here again, not for what they charge versus what you get.
