Disappointed

Q4731JJerins on Jul 22, 2026

My son and I stayed at catamaran for one night. We were scheduled for four nights. The resort itself was nice. The food was excellent. The location great. The outdoor areas nice and clean. The gym was well equipped and clean. The problem was the room. It was dirty. The rooms are extremely outdated. The bed sheet smelled. There was trash behind the bed and under the bed had not been vacuumed in what looked like years. The shower curtain was falling apart. The curtains were yellowed. It’s was gross. We managed one night and then switched hotels. If they would up grade their rooms the resort would be near perfect.

Island vibes, views, and full vacation mode.

Toshina P on Jul 14, 2026

Our family had an absolutely wonderful stay at the Catamaran Resort Hotel & Spa, and we can't wait to return! My in-laws are from Fiji, so we especially loved the Polynesian island atmosphere throughout the property. The attention to detail is incredible—from the lush tropical landscaping and beautiful koi ponds to the resident ducks and colorful parrots that make the resort feel like a true island escape. The location on the bay is stunning. We spent hours enjoying the beach chairs and umbrellas while taking in the gorgeous views, and the water sports were a fun bonus for the whole family. The pool was never overly crowded, making it easy to relax, and the hot tub was the perfect way to unwind after a day of exploring. Our suite in the tower was spacious, comfortable, and easily accommodated our family of four. The views were fantastic and made every morning feel special. We also loved dining at the restaurant. Being able to sit outside, enjoy the waterfront scenery, and have delicious food just steps away was such a treat. What truly made our stay exceptional was the staff. Every team member we encountered was friendly, helpful, and genuinely welcoming, creating an experience that felt both relaxing and memorable. If you're looking for a resort that combines beautiful scenery, family-friendly amenities, island-inspired charm, and outstanding service, I highly recommend the Catamaran Resort Hotel & Spa. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back!

Pitiful for the price!

Angela R on Jul 13, 2026

This property is not at all worth the hefty price we paid per night $506 for a filthy room, from the very outdated furniture that was disgustingly dirty such as the couch and the chairs in the living room area and the sliding glass door had child’s hand prints all over it from the guests before us. The floors were still also dirty with crumbs in the kitchen and the bathroom had some mold on the tile grout. Besides all this the location was nice on the bay. We’ve stayed here before years ago and honestly it didn’t look like the place has been renovated at all since the 90’s. For the owners of this property, shame on you for “price gouging” guests per night for this place and getting away with it all these years. Embarrassing for those coming from out of state and abroad and what they must think paying such astronomical fees for what they get. Had a guest from Germany come up to us asking about what our thoughts were about the property and tipping on services. Luckily we only had a one night reservation cuz we couldn’t wait to check out the next morning. Hope they consider a renovation on this property sooner than later, wishful thinking I’m afraid.

Self service is expensive

Neiman G on Jul 11, 2026

Not to be a priss but….. I've stayed at places that rolled out the red carpet. The Catamaran rolled out a single girl at a stand who looked at us like we'd interrupted her therapy session. We pulled up expecting valet. Instead we got a staring contest with someone who eventually confessed she WAS the valet, delivered with all the enthusiasm of a hostage reading a ransom note. She ignored us so thoroughly I started to wonder if the car was invisible. We made it to the room ourselves, which was fine, because clearly self service is the theme here. Opened the door and were greeted by the unmistakable perfume of mothballs. Nothing says "$700 a night" like the aroma of your grandmother's coat closet. I kept waiting for a moth to fly out and hand me a mint on the pillow. Then came the pièce de résistance. Around midnight we called asking for water. A reasonable request, given they'd generously left us ONE bottle to split like we were rationing supplies on a life raft. Housekeeping, we were informed, was closed. If we wanted water, we were welcome to walk to the front desk ourselves and fetch it, a suggestion delivered in a tone that made me feel like I'd asked to borrow her car. So to recap: I paid $1500 to park my own car, sleep in a closet from 1974, and hike to the lobby for hydration. Truly a full service resort, if the service is you doing everything.

Not really a resort — just what you are getting into

Roving793982 on Jul 03, 2026

Not really a resort. Very old rooms, musty smell, elevator doors that regularly decide not to open. Room was clean. Very small pool. Access to beach and bay side very good. Really just know what you are getting into — this place skews for young families and should not be confused with a true high end resort at all. Air conditioner rattled. Quite old bathtub / shower.
