Disappointed with our stay.

We stayed for 3 nights in April. The room was nice and spacious but it went downhill from there. Unfortunately there was a lot of young people staying for a sporting event and their parents chose to put them in rooms away from their own. Several young people were gathered outside by the pool with a ghetto blaster at 10pm with music booming out. I called reception and asked about the noise and they said it’s acceptable until the pool closed at 10.30pm. This noise affected a number of rooms. When the pool closed we realized we had been put in a room amidst all of them. There is no soundproofing between rooms and they were loud. I asked them to please quieten down as it was now after 11pm when I realised the carpet in their room was saturated with water and it was heading to the door between our rooms. I called reception and they said they would send night security. Eventually they came and they had the energy of a flat battery. I asked to move rooms and eventually we got one. This room was quieter but had no hot water. After we requested help with that, the maintenance guy came and said there is hot water, you just have to run the tap for ten minutes! Breakfast was basic but good, but you’re eating off paper plates with plastic cutlery so I don’t think they have an environmental plan. Overall the place has nice rooms and the washing machines are handy, but I wouldn’t rush to go back there. The staff unfortunately let the place down and I think they need to realize people don’t want noise and parties in the rooms around them. We also had to ask to have the room freshened up, it’s not done automatically. In terms of location it’s quite a walk to the trolley into town, but you are near some restaurants and service stations for snacks.

Our stay at the Fairfield inn & suites in old town has been nothing short of wonderful. We had a minor issue when we first checked in, but Aleandro really went above and beyond to fix the issue, and assure our stay was comfortable and enjoyable. The staff, specifically Aleandro and Charisma are friendly, and efficient, as well as knowledgeable about the surrounding areas. The breakfast was plentiful and the common areas were clean and pleasant. Even when crowded, the hotel didn’t feel too crowded. The jacuzzi was nice and warm and relaxing. We would absolutely stay here again, especially because of the customer service we received from Aleandro and Charisma.
Great location and amenities

Location was perfect. Walking distance to many area restaurants and Old Town. Sitting on a hill isn’t easy access for a wheelchair but the staff accommodated all my needs to the T! Room was spacious and very accessible even the 3rd floor wheelchair room! Property could use a small update but it was functional and a great value for my stay.

The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Breakfast had a good amount of variety and was well stocked. Adrian J. was able to retrieve a lost gold earring from the sink drain, thank you! Property needs a spruce up but on the plus side an easy walk to old town. Great restaurants in walking distance.
