Whatever you do, don't leave anything hanging in the room closet upon checkout. I called later the same day to report a dress was left in the closet and was immediately foisted off to the "automated Lost and Found." This hotel uses an online system for Lost and Found, so there's no direct interaction with Housekeeping. After another day or two of trying to get a human response, I was eventually told Housekeeping cleaned the room the day I left and, "There was no dress in the closet." Riiiight. My fault for leaving the dress but absolutely zero points to the hotel and its staff for help rendered, effort, customer service and honesty.

We loved our stay and can't wait to come back! The room was great, comfy bed and beautiful patio by the game area. We loved having dinner out at the fire pits at night and even had them all to ourselves. The staff at the front desk were all so friendly and helpful.

We booked through Costco and didn’t have too high expectations. But this place is really amazing. Few “resorts” live up to that name, but Kona Kai does. Great pool and hot tub, legitimate gym, and the fire pits were so much fun (splurge for the smores kit, it’s worth it). Staff were wonderful, views in both directions, close to everything—couldn’t be happier.

Beautiful rooms and property. Great pool area and so nice to sit on the beach at night with the bonfires. Super safe area to walk in the morning and night with amazing views. I will add that most hotels do not give daily housekeeping anymore, and each and every day our beds were made, room cleaned and new fresh towels. Great place to stay if you are visiting Point Loma????

I was gifted a massage with David Handel and it was fantastic. David has the most calming and gentle, but firm, touch felt through his hands. I felt a great connection with his technique and was truly wowed with the experience. I would highly recommend seeking him out!!
