For a girls weekend we hope for a beautiful quiet beachy property and we got just that. The only complaint is that the rooms, bathrooms and patios could definitely use an update. Also unfortunately our bathroom was not cleaned properly and that really bothered me. There was a water main issue upon checkin so this was the only room available at the time of our arrival before our reservations and plans began for the weekend.

We found Kona Kai through the Costco web site, The resort is well maintained and the rooms were spacious and very up-to-date, The staff couldn't have been friendlier and more helpful. Our room was on the second floor and faced the marina overlooking the adults only pool., Beautiful and quiet! Our only regret was that we couldn't stay longer..

Beautiful setting for a beautiful resort. Our room was well appointed and spacious, nice to relax by the fire pit on the back patio. Enjoyed an excellent breakfast in the morning overlooking the Marina watching the seals play and drinks at night playing cornhole on the beach. Looking forward to our next adventure there!

Everything was perfect; I loved the location, the room, the weather, the beach walk every morning; I will come back in the future to stay and enjoy San Diego again.

Resort was very beautiful, we were upgraded to a 1 bedroom suite which was very nice, nice big patio. I gave the resort a 4 because the restaurants had a limited selection, especially for picky kids. They provided a stuffed dolphin for my granddaughter when we got to our room which she loved, also, the housekeeper Christina cleaned our room wonderfully and wrapped my granddaughter’s Stitch in a blanket and placed in the bed-my granddaughter got a kick out of that. Everyone was kind and helpful and the hotel is conveniently located for most things.
