We were sad to have postpone of trip to San Fransicco and our stay at the wonderful Marker Union Square due to the tropical storms affecting the CA West coast. However, I had the enormous pleasure to chat and to explain our cancellation to Mr. Harvey Tan. He was extreamly sympathetic and truly understanding of my situation. He processed my cancellation with ease, grace and with the utmost professional courtesy. Again, we postponed or stay at The Marker, but we are sure that we'll rebook our trip to San Francisco and definetly stay at The Marker Union Square during this holiday season 2026!

The Hotel is in a good location in the theater district , walking distance to many areas. Rooms a well kept. I would like coffee available before 7am however that’s a personal preference. Overall good experience
Best extended weekend getaway

Our first time staying at The Marker Union Square and we feel this will be our hotel stay each time we visit SF. We were able to walk to Pier 39 and that led us through Union Square, Chinatown and North Beach so, all areas easy to walk to. Yes, the Tenderloin is close but it was a couple blocks and not right outside the hotel. Staff was great! Food and drinks at Tratto were worth repeating and my husband liked the gym. We had a wonderful stay.

We live across the bay from The Marker. Charles at the front desk welcomed us as long lost friends. It was marvelous one of the best check in experiences we have ever had. Charles saw us several during our weekend and greeted warmly every time. The was nice, clean, and quiet. We were very happy with the hotel and our experience at The Marker. Next time we visit San Francisco we will stay here again!
Great Stay and Great Employees

My husband and I stayed here on our first trip since having a baby. I was a little nervous I’d be a wreck, but Ridhi, the woman who helped us at the front desk, was so sweet and reassured me I needed a break. We would honestly stay there again because of Ridhi. She also gave fantastic recommendations on local restaurants. It was a great stay that was very needed.
