Had a late arrival, checked into the room, within 10 minutes security came to my room saying we were being loud. Apparently a noise complaint from the floor below because we were unpacking the bags. First impression, not good. These walls are thin and the rooms are small. There was no water in the room and I had to go back downstairs to get water. The A/C barely function well.

Overall, we had a wonderful experience at Marriott Bonvoy in Union Square San Francisco. Not only was the location convenient and easily accessible, but the staff were also incredibly helpful and friendly. The room itself was spacious and clean, providing a comfortable and enjoyable stay. We highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a convenient and pleasant stay in San Francisco.

Hands down the best Marriott property I've ever stayed at, and I've stayed at A LOT. I could not get over how excruciatingly kind ALL the staff was...from the bellman, to the front desk staff, bartenders, breakfast staff, to the housekeeping...everyone genuinely made the effort to speak to me, give me suggestions, ask me how my day was going, and smile. I don't know what they do to train these employees, but this property needs to be the benchmark for all hotels. The Hotel was conveniently located, clean, and quiet.

Justine and Roy at the receptionist desk helped me much for booking a taxi to San Francisco International Airport at midnight of 15 Dec. 2023. Their heartfelt assistance was very helpful, and made me very happy. Also, during the whole period of my stay, Kelly at the reception desk, and a doorman Fernando helped me very much. I really appreciate their heartfelt assistance.

We stayed as a family in a room with two double beds on the 12th floor facing onto Sutter Street. The location is great, basically a block from Union Square and walkable to many sights and shops. We found it easy to walk to Chinatown and down to Washington Square, and public transport was easily accessible. The room we stayed in was comfortable. It’s not ultra modern and things like bedside power outlets are not as plentiful as we would have liked. Also the hotel provides one small bottle of water each day for the bar fridge, which was a little stingy since there were two of us in the room. The lobby is functional but not elegant at all. There’s a bar, a restaurant but we didn’t use either as they had no ambience. The hotel missed some of the nice touches guests appreciate like water available in the lobby, or morning coffee. The staff were friendly and the doormen especially went out of their way to be kind and helpful. If you want comfort and location and don’t care about ambience, this would be a good hotel. We would stay again. It was a good base for San Francisco.
