Impolite barman yelling at guest

Aluno d on Jul 18, 2024

They have a strange (not to say abusive) US$30 fee per day that is forcibly charged but can be redeemed in goods sold at the premises. If the guest do not spend this U$30 each day it is charged anyway. So I just chose two random bottles of beer priced US$13 each in the menu, not to be consumed at bar just to be taken to my room. The barman decided to charge 18% tip plus tax on top of that. As a result , the total amount surpassed the US$30,00 by Us$2,32. I told him I didn’t even want the beer I was just trying to spend those US$30,00. I asked him to round it up. He lost his cool, started to yell and decided by himself to call his boss. I just left the bottles on the counter untouched. I don’t travel on vacations to fight, much less over that kind of stuff.

Good GM with a team of excellent and friendly staff

tobybach2008 (Rome, Italy) on Jun 14, 2024

I recently stayed at the San Francisco Marriott Union Square to work on a project in the city’s financial district. The multi-week extended counters with the hotel staff allowed me to experience and appreciate their friendliness, professionalism and diverse personalities. I just wanted to highlight a few outstanding staff below to show-case their responsiveness and spot on services. — Kelley at the front desk helped me navigated through the complex room price fluctuation so I did not have to move in-and-out of the hotel when the RSA conference visitors invaded San Francisco; — The staff who cleaned my room day-in and day-out made the stay very pleasant. She even named me as the cleanest guest on her floor; — Maria, Abdul and “Boo” who work at the 28th floor lounge provided incredible services and kept the place spotless even when it was invaded by the boisterous conference attendees and their families; — Ron, Trevor, Jeff and Imelda at the Bin480 and first floor dinning space made you wish to spend all day chatting with them. Include this property on your short lodging list when you next visit San Francisco, especially if you plan to work in the financial district. ------------------------------
