Go elsewhere-this hotel is not worth it's cost

Worlds_of_Wonder (San Francisco, CA) on Apr 18, 2024

Like many, I agree that this hotel is on the decline. It's not just the horrors of the Tenderloin or the increasing vacancies in Union Square (which are bad), but the prices in this hotel are insane--for the $50+ buffet breakfast in Poached, for parking, and for the bar. Staff is in abundance (vs. the last time), but the service is erratic and not friendly or attentive, though Poached was an exception. The $18 credit that Hilton Diamond members get is a joke given the prices in this hotel and the high probably you will not eat/drink in this hotel given the ridiculous prices. Internet is poor in the meeting areas; bathroom amenities are nonexistent; and you feel you are on rationing with the coffee/tea room station. Views can be good if you are high enough, but you have to be really high and the constant sirens in the Tenderloin are not appealing for those wanting a good night's sleep. I would strongly recommend people not stay here unless they have to for a conference or event in the area. And if you stay, consider eating elsewhere; parking elsewhere; and enjoying elsewhere. Sad to see another classic SF property hit the downward slope, but seems ignorant about it from the promo videos playing on the hotel tv channel.

Worst ever wifi

Kadir A on Apr 07, 2024

Worst ever wifi I have ever used at any hotel in any city in this century! It keeps disconnecting. You need to click “forget this network” every ten minutes re-login. If it does login again, you can enjoy the wifi for another ten minutes. Just terrible.
